Yeh, very weird. Here are the emails I received back off them regarding this:
Thank you for your email, which we received on 22nd February 2006. I appreciate your patience in awaiting a reply.

Please be advised the amount that has been raised for your line rental offer is correct. Once we have received your 8th (June 2006) and 12th (October 2006) airtime bill, we will raise you £45.69 on each occassions.

Please send your airtime bills to the address below.

I then sent them an email stating it's wrong and actually sent them there own URL to the cash back offer and received the following:
Thank you for your email, which we received on 3rd March 2006. I appreciate your patience in awaiting a reply.

I am sorry that you feel that you have received an incorrect amount. I would like to advise that I have spoken to our Redemptions Team and they have confirmed that the amount you have received is correct as your total savings for this offer are £137.57.

If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our Redemptions Team on the number provided below.

  • Hi
I got a cheque for £45.00 too, but I am fedup with CPW group. time for action as I have stuck to my part of the agreement but theyve changed it whenever it has suited them.

Auto chequback of £130 was supposed to be after 30 days of connection, this changed to 60days I didnt get it after 90.

After sending out my 4th bill I only get 45, and no valid reason, if it is what you say that redemption is on 8th and 12th month, then they have broken the terms they agreed to.

Its not fair. - Simple as that. If we break our terms (late chequeback) or whatever theyre very quick to simply reject our claim.
  • Hi all, any ideas what month our next redemption is due, i dont like cpw as they dont state the months...and i lose track. i assume most people on this took contract in october, as it was an october deal....

To anyone who is not being paid what they should, or is now being advised that you must claim in month 8 and 12...

    Do not accept it.

    There are terms and conditions that they must stick to, namely;

£130.05 automatic cashback in 30 days
£45 network contribution (i.e. 3 months half price line rental)
£68.54 by cashback with 4th airtime bill
£68.54 by cashback with 8th airtime bill

That is the deal - it doesn't matter if they are "inundated with applications" or they are "just running a little behind" - it's not your problem!

If they don't do exactly what they are supposed to, write to their legal department, giving 14 days to rectify the situation, otherwise your next contact will be a Letter Before Action, giving 14 more days before you issue court proceedings (easily and cheaply done online) - and you will get these costs back too, plus interest on the initial sum claimed.

If you want to spend hours chasing their customer services around, being fobbed off with lame excuses and false promises, then so be it.

If you want your money, then make them pay it, now.

I would happily use CPW again, despite having to go through this process for my automatic cashback. They are (hopefully) big enough to be around to pay out cashbacks in 12 or 18 months, and don't make a mockery of cashbacks with rediculous terms etc - but that doesn't mean you have to put up with these other things.

More than happy to help anyone through this process if you are unsure.

yes dont stand for it, we have no reason to allow them to pay us later. they made an agreement, they can stick to it. I was sent less, but I called them and said you will be getting a letter informing of court action. I have every detial of this contract documented. So they got a little panicked and i got the cheque.
Needs to be done, but yep, i dont worry about them not paying out (going bust) theyre too big. So i recommend them
  • Does any one know if we send out May or June bills in...for redemption?

    Thanks!

to avoid receiving a cheque for £45 instead of the correct £68, you should include a copy of the cashback terms with your claim. Here it is and it makes it quite clear that the correct amount should be £68, click on the correct month ie October and select the correct contract ie 6630@ £3.99:
