boddy - hugs to you and your DD & GS. you always think these things happen to someone else
poohbear - take care, you need to get properly better.

Had a really long day today after a sleepless night - was out of the house at 7.10am and not back til 6.40pm and working flat out the whole time! thankfully dh had made a start on the dinner, i am doing mroe than my usual share at the moment as he is studying hard for accountancy exams.

Did no flying today as too tired but thankfully its ok as did bathroom on sunday and the study I leave to DH these days! Tonight I chatted to my mum and then after DH finished studying we played on the wii which is always good fun, though then DH found some technical issue with it and is now talking to himself about outputs and amps etc and moving wires around.... :D

right, I am off to do the lunches for tomorrow and then go to bed. Think i'll treat myself to going in on the 9am train so get a bit of a lie ie :D

Hope those who were under the weather yesterday are feeling better. I'm ahead of the list today. I actually took all the cushion covers off last night and washed them and hung them out in anticipation of today's warm weather forecast. Trouble is I've woken up this morning and can't see beyond the end of the garden. It's misty!

Does anyone know anything about hoovers?
Mine has been misbehaving for a while now, but now it just won't pick anything up from the bottom. It will from the hose, but I've lost all the attatchments for that, so I'm left with a 2 inch nozzle, which isn't very efficient.
It's about 3 years old, and a Vax, so it shouldn't be defunct already, should it?

Check that the brush head underneath isn't clogged with hair and stuff, it can happen quite quickly. Does it still suck but not pick up or is it completely not working?

So far I've hoovered the stairs and landing and loaded the WM. Stuck a chicken in the SC last night so got to do something with that as I don't need it today as we're going to mum & dad's for tea - DH wanted chicken on his sandwiches.

Serena - well done to your DS on his SATs results.

TF - you're doing better than me!

Last day of school here, the kids get to take a toy in to play with this afternoon. A has been awarded a certificate for 100% attendance for the year :D they get to go out to pizza hut one day next year. W just missed out because of his medical appointments so I shall be making sure he gets a treat as well.

So far unloaded the DW and half filled the WM, need to find enough other white/light stuff to make a load up so it can go on. Looks nice and sunny out there. Got the caravan out yesterday which A & I started to pack with clothes so will plod on with that today.

Hope those hat were under the weather are feeling better, well done to all those with exam/test results and hugs to you all. Hope you have a good day. xx

Does it have a brush that spins round at the bottom?

If it does and the brush is not spinning, the drive belt may have snapped.
(This happens to min whenever OH doe the vaccing as he seems to think anything theat has been left on the floor is fair game:rolleyes: )

If the drive belt has snapped they are only a couple of quid to replace.
If it isn't that then it is probably a blockage. A metal coathanger is a pretty good way to clear anything causing the blockage.
