My DD has just rang to say its a friend of hers. He had left her house to go fishing last night. GS1 was supposed to go with him but didnt. Im so shocked I just saw him recently at hers. Have told her to ring the police as they want to know his last movements. He was only 28.

:grouphug: - seriously big hugs for you and your DD and all who are affected...

You must be feeling awful. You did the right thing - your DD must phone the police to make a statement.

I'm knackered! I disappeared into the kitchen at 4, emerged to eat at 6, then went back to the kitchen and have only just re-emerged now! I wouldn't mind but I don't seem to have produced all that much, just a batch of brownies and marmalade muffins (and a whole load of scotch pancakes for pudding, most of which are now in the freezer for another time!)

I'm off to my bed with a book and a coffee.

quite right soappie  - now what is the latest with your ex? And if it isnt being too nosy, are you married/in a relationship now?

And this feels so crass commenting on this post after Boddy's news but I will ...

SSL. We did the phone call bit on Sunday. Nice chat, very light. Quite easy really. It was strange hearing his voice again after 25 odd years. His accent was far more 'sarf lunnon' than I remember it to be but at times I recognised it totally. He is coming to my area weekend after next for a long weekend. We have both agreed it would be good to meet up for a chat. But, I'll make sure it's on neutral ground. Have spoken to DS about it all and he's cool with it.

And no, you're not being too nosy. I'm not in a relationship (neither, it seems, is he). But, I have serious baggage from ex2 so whether I want to re-kindle anything other than a friendship relationship with ex1 remains to be seen.

But, I've surprised myself with some of the thoughts I've had this last week....

    Hi all again
I am soo p****ed off - i had done my list etc and when i went to post it it said i wasnt signed in - but i was - anyway I lost it and will have to start allover again so you may get an abbreviated version this time!!

last nite after I left here (to go to bed) I realised my soup in the slocooker was ready to be whizzed - so i did that and only managed to get it allover my nice clean shiny worktops, hob, cupboards, splashback, tiles, floor and me! After putting bits of scalded me under the tap i finished whizzing and then had to clear up before getting to bed - before joing here i would probabaly have left it until morning!! (did leave the floor!)

Today then I have showered, cleaned the toilet and sink, had brekkie etc.
put white washing on, cleaned kitchen floor then bathroom floor.
then off to town for computer class for 2 hours.
straight home - had lunch - hung out washing - checked ebay - then back to town for appointment with bank manager
Straight home checked emails only to find Amazon book sold and 2 ebays paid so wrapped them all and off to post office as I wont have time tomorrow.
Home and had a quick tea - emptied and filled the dishwasher - brought in washing.
did 45 mins ironing as timer stuck and didnt go off:rolleyes:
cleared pc and dusted and cleaned it with anti static wipes - didnt defrag as i had done that last week.
Flung one empty bottle from bathroom and put away what was cluttering up the pc area.
Not that good but better than nothing.
    Must try harder.

Hugs for your DD Boddy, what an awful shock.

I think i may be allergic to my bunny:( Picked her up for cuddles and nose started streaming and i have itchy arms. Been looking at allergies on the internet and apparently its quite common to develop an allergy after a couple of months:confused: Going to try some anti histamines tomorrow. She does lose quite a lot of hair so i dont know if its that, they seem to cause more allergies than shorter haired bunnies.

Another flying visit from me. I have been out the house most of the day.Got in at 5:30, after spending the afternoon in the beer garden of the local pub with my work colleagues. I am feeling rather shattered now, as ds2 cried from us getting in till 8:30ish, DS1 was being a monkey about bed time and it took me till 8 to get him upstairs, DH came in after 8:30. Since then we have cooked and eaten dinner, and now i am going to have a bath and call it a day. Normal service will resume tomorrow.

pigpen well done to your DD2 on her SAT results. Very pleased for her. Apparently our department got 72% which beat our target :j which amazes me. That might keep ofsted off our back for a little longer.

And the best part about today is i sat and talked to my friend all afternoon, and we haven't had a good natter like that since march when i left work. :D
