Justamum - please don't be so hard on yourself - the world is tough enough on us, without us giving it a helping hand..........your wedding day was a happy day - look back and remember that if you can.

I avoided for 2 weeks and today I got up and decided to get ebay room sorted, i.e. get some stuff onto turbo lister. So cleaned floor (to be able to photograph stuff), tidied up, put stuff in box for charity shop and finally ready for hh listing, camera battery FLAT so here I am avoiding again!

Boddy - thinking about you and yours xx

Just got the dusting upstairs to do now. I've vacuumed, cleaned the bathrooms and changed my bed. Just going to get some lunch. DD is asleep so peace and quiet for a while.

    Hi everyone!
Just popped on to check todays list before I go to hospital.
Justamum chin up pet - you are a beautiful person inside and thats what matters - I dont know you but I am 100% sure you were beautiful on your wedding day and still are - its only the way we look at ourselves - I know how you feel - I have put on 3 stones with having to take steroids and think I look like a beached whale - one of my friends even said that to me ( how kind of her!!) - you were feeling down because of all the pressure with your budget and then we dont like ourselves do we? YOU ARE NOT A GARGOYLE!!

I hate looking at myself in the mirror too (all the time, not just when I'm depressed). I went for one of those colour makeover sessions a few years ago with a whole group of people I'd never met before. Some of the women would be quite obviously admiring themselves in the mirror when it was their turn (even one woman with an orange fake tan) but I couldn't look at myself at all. I just took the woman's word for it which colours suited me. :rotfl:
Have you asked the oil company to let you pay the down payment in installments - I mean pay a bit extra along with your monthly payment if you could manage that - dont mean to be condescending/ rude/ cheeky.

I have just spoken to a very understanding man at the oil company and I explained our predicament, and that we haven't actually used the heating since the end of February when we saw how much oil was being used. He's sending out DD forms and is putting in an order for us for 450 litres, which should last for ages if we only use it for water. If we find out our lease isn't being renewed at the end of January I will make sure we put the heating on and use up all the oil before we move out :rotfl:. And you were not being condescending, rude or cheeky.

Or are you on any benefits you could get an emergency loan that comes off your benefits - its interest free and they only take a few pounds a fortnight over a quite a long period. Even if you are not on benefits it might be still worth asking as I am guessing you might have children?

The system is a bit different over here. I phoned them earlier and we are on the "wrong" benefit for getting a loan.

Thanks for the "virtual" hugs and support. It's nice to know I have some friends in the world, even if I've never met any of you. :D I'm feeling a bit more positive now anyway. I might even be able to get some cleaning done. In fact I'm going to have to - there are bread crumbs all over the lounge floor

Out in the garden with DSs now. Just finished evil cupboard (most of contents went in the bin!)
also swept patio so it looks less like a small beach now and sand pit is at the other end of the garden so hopefully problem solved regarding sand.

Justamum hope you are feeling better about life now.

I've done nothing today apart from two loads of washing.

DD1 is on a day out today (end of year 7) and tomorrow is their last day and a non-uniform day, so I'm going to take out all the name tags from her clothes, remove any buttons from things no longer wearable (shirts with underarm stains won't be going to the charity shop ) then bag up usable clothes to take to the charity shop.

DS doesn't finish until Friday, but it's "toy day" so no work will actually be done. We found out the other day which class he is in next year. They are having to merge year 4 and 5 into 3 classes next year because they don't have funding for enough teachers for 4 classes. The teacher he is having has been off most of this year because of stress, so I'm just hoping that he will be able to work all next year. It's the children who suffer if they constantly have different supply teachers who don't know what the children are supposed to be doing.

I'm now going to have a quick HHC before settling down to watch Doctors (the only thing I watch on tv these days. Is the licence fee really worth it )

Strange. My post was posted twice - and I wasn't even sat at the computer the second time!

Pigpen - the analogue signal goes off sometime between June and November next year, so I will cancel the DD 6 months before that (as we pay 6 months in advance anyway). I do sometimes watch things on iplayer, but more often than not don't bother to catch up on things. It's just a tv programme after all. I tend to spend more of my time listening to Radio 4.

Checked bank account so I must turn PC off now or I will get nothing done. Been a lazy swine recently eating junk food and I feel like crap.

    List for today,

Living room - hoover and mop floor
    Bathroom - S&S
    Ironing
    Washing
Get to shop for bread and milk

DS2 is in pants today, yesterday he went for a poo all on his own so here's hoping he is now ready for toilet training. Wish us luck!

Floors mopped so time for school run.

School's our BBQ at the tennis club (sounds posh but it is not - just where we live it was built in the 1920's and there are several little clubs in neighbourhoods just run by local members) so kids can play and be fed - cunning plan and I can do more of what I do best - chat and drink tea!

    Be back later
