I'm potty training my DS today too. Good luck! I have had 4 successes and 4 puddles so not too bad. So glad I have a garden! :rotfl:

Two wet pairs of pants and 3 or 4 sucesses! I'm trying to take him every hour. Still trying to work out if he knows when he needs a pee.

And trying to get him to comunicate clearly (he doesn't speak well and most of the time it sounds like 'Ba` ah da mqba!' and you nod and say yes....) although.... the pee pee song is not really the most discrete.. Pee-Pee! Pee-Pee! Pee-Pee!

Good luck to us all!!! :rotfl:

JAM and Bobby big big hugs.

I've been out all morning with one thing or another, livingroom looks a complete state again so i'll get it done and cut the grass while it's dry here.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

mudbath, hex, boddy and pigpen, DS2 says thank you very much for the congratulations!

dusty - fantastically well done to your DS - which subject did he get the level 8 for?

pigpen - yes, DS2 is in Year 9. The results seem quite patchy. Some schools have taken one look, and sent the whole lot back for remarking. According to the Times Ed, some papers are still sitting on markers' floors, because they were sent the wrong subject, and despite repeated phone calls, the company have failed to collect them. The whole thing has been messed up.

justamum - nothing wrong with you poppet, just your perception of yourself - write down something that you do like about yourself, and stick it up inside your wardrobe, and read it every day. Add to your list. When anyone says something like 'You have such a lovely smile', add it to the list.

And to whichever newbie it was who was disappointed with what she had done - we celebrate successes on this thread - so if you did Level One, then feel very pleased! If you did just one thing, then feel very pleased! The house didn't get in that state in one morning, and you won't get it sorted in one morning, but you will after a while! (I'm seeing results, and I'm getting there!)

Lovely day here, and the last day of the summer term. I cleaned the cloakroom, livingroom, and hall today, but just heaved a sigh and ignored the stairs. I'll delegate that tomorrow (ie I will shout a lot at the children until they remove their belongings)

The head at the children's school retired today after 25 years at the school. They had a special surprise treat for him, after the final assembly, all the school went out to the field, and then he was taken off by helicopter for a fly round the city and over the school field, where they were all standing to make the word 'goodbye'! I saw the helicopter, as it flew over the allotment twice. I'm upset he's leaving, as we got to know each other when he looked after DS1 in China and Bangkok, before I could get out there to take over, and was terrifically supportive after and we've kept in touch since - not that I intend to lose touch! He gave each child a glass, engraved with the name of the school, and also the name of the school they've built in Sudan this year as it is also the school's 50th anniversary.

    Far too long a post...

    :hello:to all my flylady friends!!

It was for Maths which he has always been quite good at so was pleased. Actually the English 7 he (and I) was most delighted with as that is the one he has improved in the most.

I'm glad the school made your head's last day so special.

We had a great time at the tennis BBQ, sat drank tea and chatted whilst kids all played. They had burgers so I've just done them a french stick/cheese and grapes tea.

Early baths and bed I think as they are all shattered.

Dusty.. I didn't realise your ds had done sats too.. very well done him!!! DD1 has provisionally been given all 8's.. but we shall see. DD3 did the KS1 sats and did really badly (2x 1 and 1x 2.. not impressed!).. I am going to insist on booster classes for her after summer.

    This year I had 1 do KS1 SATs.. 1 doing KS2 SAT's, 1 doing KS3 SATs and 1 doing GCSEs

I've not had time to read the thread so hugs to everyone who needs them and hugs to everyone else too.

MY DARLING LITTLE BOY DOESN'T HAVE TO HAVE AN OPERATION THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first year of his life he's not needed one. I am so, so, so, so relieved. His consultant also told him he needs to try and put eye drops himself now which he doesn't want to do. I told him i'd buy him some starwars lego when he can do it. He took the drops and did it! Bribery is fabulous!!!

Need to do my list as i've got a friend coming round shortly xx
