Bankruptcy Credit Reference File Clean Up - Discussion

Hi,
Just one more question, then I'm ready to get started. The initial letter I'm going to send out the the companies, it is the one at the beginning of sticky - there's just a bit that says
"Currently the information that you have recorded against my name with the Credit Reference Agencies is factually incorrect, and despite several written requests to your customer services , as yet your company has failed to correct the entries as required".
My question is - if this is my first letter, do I just delete the bold sentance out?
Also if all my default dates are showing before my BR date do I delete that bit as well as they are fine - it's just satisfied dates & current balances that need changing.

I just left the lot in Miss Spooky despite it being my first letter to them. One of them hadn't actually defaulted me as I was discharged after 5 and a half months and it just had 6 payments missed, I sent them the same letter and they marked it as settled without a default.
It really was a painless process, sent out the letters recorded delivery and within a month they had all been marked as settled.0 -
I have an account with Credit Expert and it seems more trouble than it's worth.
I finally got them to put a settled note next to a 02 mobile phone account that i had cleared up with 02 already. The default date was wrong, it was the date i was discharged and not the date i was bankrupt. Now for some reason the settled date is gone and i'm back to square one! I have e.mailed and Credit Expert say they are waiting for 02 to get back to them. Any ideas what is going on????0 -
Can the template letter be used (amended slightly) for a Trust Deed in Scotland?
Reason I ask is that i've checked my credit report and a couple of the debts have shown as defaulted long after the trust deed became protected.0 -

Yes.Just a case off:
Default date must not be later than the start date of the TD
Satisfied date must not be later than the end date of the TD.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I hope you can help I am about to start cleaning up my records, but was wondering who I need to contact to correct the ccjs is it just the original finance company? Also does it matter that one of my ccjs is dated after my bankruptcy, even though the debt was included in the bankruptcy? None of the entries have account numbers is this going to cause me problems?
One final question my Equifax record includes everything it should, but my Experian doesn't list anything should I worry?
Thank you in advance.0 -
I'm in the process of doing a cleanup and I have had the situation where letters to 2 separate companys have gone awol.
Spoke to a Royal Mail customer service rep who said that recorded items are sometimes lumped in with the normal mail, therefore they might have been delivered but they have no record.
Not much help really if we need the proof of delivery to provide the ICO with.
Seems like I will need to send them 'Special Delivery' to be guaranteed that they will need to be actually signed for, and won't just get lumped in with everything else. Not best pleased0 -

Most of the time recorded delivery is OK. But like you, I've had at least one "go astray".
Sooooooo, the last set of letters I wrote went by Special Delivery. A pain in the bum to have to pay for that, but as it was the last one I was going to send before taking things further, it was a one off.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

HI,
I am just about to start my letters & wondered who I send them to? As most have gone to DCA do I send them to the original creditor or the DCA?BSC 289A life lived in fear is a life not living!Proud to have dealt with my debts.0 -
