    Hi folks,

    Please help.....

I was in business last year, and used the services of a factoring company. I had to close the company due to one of my clients going bankrupt, and owing me £13,500.00.

Well on friday i recevied a demand from the factoring company saying i have 18 days to get it set aside, or 21 days to find the cash. It has took me months to get back on my feet, and i dont have that kind of money. The fees are as follows,
    1. 10k cancellation fees
    2. 2k VAT
    3. Outstanding invoices ( Which they never collected in )

Does anyone know what i should do. I dont at this stage be made bankrupt.

Also there is another director in the company who is not named on the demand.

  • Hi,

Does anyone know the address of First Direct's data control officer?

I know they are part of HSBC, but a search against them at the ICO database provides too many hits and I don't know which one is responsible for FD.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Ick - just got my first credit file back (from call credit) and ick is all I can say!! I don't think there is one correct entry on it, including it appears a CCJ from the period between being declared BR and being discharged - am off to read the 'how to clean up' thread and trying not to panic. How the h*ll did I get a CCJ whilst BR? For an account that doesn't sound in the least bit familar - a tad worried about things but shall try not to panic until I've been through the clean up thread and made sense of the report (it's a bit long!).
Update - ok need some help then clever people please! :D
    1) - the CCJ - this is for a debt that was 100% definately included on my petition, and the date of the CCJ is after my BR date (but before my discharge). Can I get this removed? If so, how?
I'm getting the info on how my file should look by the two listings for very old cards I had that I closed down after paying off that are on there (2001 odd time) btw.
    2) All but one of the debts on my Callcredit file are still listed as 'Default' and the dates carrying on until July 2009 with the balance next to them. They were mostly/all listed on my petition, but are still all showing as Default in the 'account status'. So I need to write to all of these companies and ask them to update callcredit's files, so that this reads as 'settled' yes?
3)the default dates are all before my BR date, so that is correct - yes?
4)The 'Current balance' should read as £0? (or is that the bit that should be satisfied? The old paid off debts read as £0 later on in the report you see).
5)Should there be an Account Holder end date or an Account End Date listed? There are start dates, but the end dates have n/a next to them. The paid off cards have end dates, so I guess the BR debts should have an end date of my BR date?

Sorry for all the questions - the Call credit file really is very confusing!
Oh - I never got a discharge letter btw - I asked for one but never got it. I didn't pay for my Cert. either, although I'm currently claiming JSA (IB) so can I get one free now (even though it's so far past my discharge?) - how do I get one? :S Or should I just contact the OR's office again and 'remind' them to send me a discharge letter?
Thank you for reading - feel like before the BR again!

If you want the official discharge cert contact the court you went BR in (london I seem to remember??) and they'll sort it for you....although you'll probably need to form fill along with up to date proof of benefit

Hi PixiePie - I got 2 CCJ's days after my BR even though I contacted the court before the court date to tell them of my BR.

Hi PixiePie - I got 2 CCJ's days after my BR even though I contacted the court before the court date to tell them of my BR.

The CCJ was 9 months after my BR date 5 yr - methinks that's enough time to sort out the CCJ issue and decide that they shouldn't go for one...:rotfl:
