You'll be lucky... We missed our connection due to the pain that is picking up and rechecking bags for security and ended up having a 10 hour detour through Las Vegas.

The luggage will be checked right through on the return leg, so no baggage pick up and re-checking.

Did you put 'purchase using' GBP or AUD?
GBP. It may be cheaper still if you use AUD and pay with Nationwide card :D

Glad to be of help Glen. I managed to book LA for 14th to 21st Feb for 3 adults and 1 chiild for £778 earlier on today.

It figured that since the original deal was on Australian Expedia that other online flight booking agents in Australia would work, and it did!

You can check booking with checkmytrip.com with reservation number they give you.

Have just booked December for Bristol to New York 4 adults for a shade under £720 and on weekends when Continental didnt offer direct flights so basically less than half price and less days holiday to have off work albeit a stop en route in Amsterdam which i have done before so i am not to worried, Decent flight times to for departure missing rush hours etc.

To top it off i got free hotel stays using my hotel reward points... a nice brucie bonus eh...

So with the savings made i can save even more on a large xmas shop although the $$$$ exchange rate is on the slide for us.

Anyone having any joy any more? Whatever dates or destinations I try now Jetabroad's coming up with zero availability on anything transatlantic.

Recieved this morning from Jetabroad -

    Dear Jetabroad customer

We are writing to you to update the status of your recent Northwest Airlines booking request.
A series of trans-Atlantic airfares, which Northwest released in the past 24 hours, have been filed through the global reservation systems without the inclusion of a fuel surcharge. Unfortunately, we have now placed a hold on issuing your tickets as we are required to check with Northwest Airlines on how they wish to proceed with these bookings. Your credit card has not been charged and we apologise for the inconvenience. For booking requests using PayPal, these funds will not be transferred to the airline until this issue is resolved.

We are working with the airline to resolve this matter and we would hope to have more information on the status of these bookings within the next 72hours.

Is this the end of this offer?

    Regards,

Had received a text at 4 am this morning saying about please refer to email,

So upon reading said email i am fining its the same as the one supplied by SCA

Anyone know where we stand and what our replies should be seems they probably picked it up due to a surge in bookings from the UK for transatlantic routes.

    Any advice welcome

I see the Orbitz site are still advertising cheap flights for these routes not as cheap as they have the price then plus this so called surcharge but i think its still cheaper than the uk price.

    Watch this space i guess

I have sent them a reply email stating i wish them to honour the sale in good faith at the advertised priced etc

If the fuel surcharge were to be applied, how much is that likely to be?

Going onto the NWA website, it gives the fare breakdown as:

    Fare Calculation: 0 LON NW X/AMS NW NYC46.05AF LON46.05NUC92.10END ROE0.510239XT10.20RN3.50VV17.00CJ6.40YC18.00US18.00US5.90XA8.20XY3.00AY5.30XF JFK4.5

    Does anyone understand that?
