Yep - I get what you mean, and saw it myself.

However, what I was saying is that it shouldn't be so. There is no official reducation on surcharges if you book these flights abroad = therefore a mistake and / or glitch.

It seemed specific to US flights, as it doesn't appear when you look at say, KLM flights to Bangkok from London (unless you can show me otherwise).

Ive only ever used it for US flights. But its a pretty good money saver!
  • ok, its booked. didn't seem to be a problem and i received the e-ticket. I'll be calling the airlines tomorrow to check whether I'm actually booked on there with no problems. I'll keep you informed.
  • I have also booked for NY from 30th Dec - 5th Jan paid for had conformation etc

That is 650 for 4 people to NY from Man for new years. we have been looking for flights for a while and it was double that at best and also had connections. I will happily go via Amsterdam for 2 hours for a half price fair.

This seems excellent. I just looked at Manchester to New York and note that you can go for £140. Now I wonder what's the best credit/debit card to use to ensure the conversion is as cheap as possible?

Thanks for this, was poised and ready to book flights to Florida at the end of Sept for £350 each through ebookers, only to check expedia.com.au to find they were half the price!

Two people, 10 nights £350 all in!!

    Thanks! :j

  • Hmm, I checked out some possible long-haul flights for next year (Phoenix, AZ. and some to Asia) sadly only a few tens of pounds difference (which could be lost in exchange rate fluctuation) so not really worth it for me.
