I've allowed 2 hours in AMS outbound and 2 hours in ATL inbound, the return flight from ATL is not the last of the day. But if going on NWA via MSP or DTW you'll have to go through US immigration so allow for this, but they are supposed to be improving immigration through times.

21.40-22.30 at ATL seems a bit short.

NWA operates some B757 across the atlantic 3-3 seating on some routes, these have poor reviews on https://www.airlinequality.com.

Be careful with connection times, some are very short!
The connection time on one of my return legs is 50 minutes. TBH I hope we land late, then they will put us up in a nice hotel, feed and water us, give us some flight vouchers and hopefully an OP-UP to Upper to boot. Just to add that the connections are with the same airline.
PS. I have done this before, I sometimes actually try and get connections with an almost impossible chance of making, but only with U.S. carriers;)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

You'll make it. I flew with Northwest back from the States a week ago and the transatlantic flight was held for a while waiting for connections.

Yep its ended now they pulled the flights and updated the prices overnight.

As soon as I saw the prices yesterday morning I booked mine and then rang around rest of my family for them to book theirs. I was getting quoted £1700 to £2000 for my flights and as soon as I saw £700 for 4 people I booked and paid no messing.

You'll be lucky... We missed our connection due to the pain that is picking up and rechecking bags for security and ended up having a 10 hour detour through Las Vegas.

A quick note to say that I have just used the above link to search for Heathrow - JFK, 28 May 2009 - 1 June 2009 and the price came up as £146.45 inc all taxes ;)
