Can anyone who booked with Bestflights help by letting us know.......How long after the booking confirmation was the e-ticket number issued?
  • I think its only jetabroad; over on hotukdeals people have actually used the flights (i think 1 to dallas and 1 to orlando) http://www.hotukdeals.com/travel/deals/hot

I am going to call Northwest today to ask if they are likly to ask for a fuel surcharge at the desk, as I already have confirmed flights booked through expedia and of course in the terms and conditions it does say they can apply a surcharge. Wiill also ask about my bookng as it is showing as confirmed on there site, just no eticket number yet.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
  • Hi Stoneman :)
I called NWA on saturday, very friendly and quick to answer! i asked why i had no "eticket" and they said because they had not received payment from jetabroad. They also said they didnt know any reason why jetabroad had "withheld" the payment. ...oh well ... looks like my usa trip is off :(

This doesn't sound like good news...

Stoneman, have you booked two different booking then, one with Jetabroad and one with expedia.com.au?

Has anyone had confirmation either way direct from expedia about this?

  • I have had my eticket from expedia, i actually recieved it within a few hours of booking last tuesday.

People have used the flights that were booked on Expedia and my feeling is Jetabroad are trying to encourage people to cancel. I find it weird that all of the other agents have agreed to go through with the bookings, yet jetabroad are trying to entice people to cancel. I know on Hotukdeals someone has actually email jetabroad and said as much to them and that they are happy to wait until jetabroad have an official statement from NWA on what they are going to do.

If you can i would sit tight, or send an email back saying that is what you wish to do. If you contact NWA maybe see what they say and then tell Jetabroad that NWA are saying it is them that is holding money and they are happy to proceed.
    :naughty:

When i contacted NWA they "wasnt aware" of reason why jetabroad should be withholding the money *puzzled face* ...... when i informed jetabroad of my findings they replied "As adviced in the previous email, we are in the process of checking with Northwest Airlines on how they wish to proceed with these bookings. The Northwest Airline in Australia is awaiting response from their head office" ... .... going round in circles! :(

  • I booked at 11am on friday with bestflights and have not received an eticket yet...I have emailed them a few times and no reply which i think is appauling !! ..I have had nothing from bestflight at all apart from my original confirmation booking and im down as confirmed on northwest site itself but as i say no ticket numbers yet ..My money was put on hold right away as soon as i booked and still pending in bank ..SO think i might be onto a loser here now ..I personally think my money will just clear itself and go back into my bank now and that will be it !! ..What a situation to be in eh :(
  • Well hopefully you will get some sort of answer soon. i would wait for them to decide though and not give them the option of getting out of it by people agreeing to drop out.

You would think one rule for all, but time will tell.

Good Luck everyone still waiting for an answer.

  • I travelled across the States last summer and I seem to remember trying to book internal US flights using the US expedia...all was fine until it wanted an entirely numerical ZIP (postal) code, at which point it rejected my UK postcode due to it's mixture of letters and numbers so I couldn't get further.
