Booking flights from the Uk via US/Aussie Expedia Sites

Hi Everyone,
I got the same message as Stoneman from Jetaround. Any idea where we go from here. Expedia and Bestflight booking shows ETicket againstit, Jetaround does not.
Suggestions that we may get charged at the checkin concerns me. Can NWA do that? Any insiders?

Hi, I booked last week with Expedia, and although my flights have all been confirmed on NWA web-site, I also e-mailed Expedia just to say that I was confused over some T&C relating to the flights and could they confirm that ALL taxes, fuel charges & departure taxes were included, and they have confirmed today that they are and there is nothing more to pay

BTW, a friend who missed out on this and would dearly love to fly to New York next Feb, has been following a thread on UKHotDeals and has got 2 x return flights LHR-New York, direct with NWA on way out & Air France on return for £409, although not as cheap as before, this is still a good deal & are legitimate flights, I believe NWA has a sale on presently.

I travelled across the States last summer and I seem to remember trying to book internal US flights using the US expedia...all was fine until it wanted an entirely numerical ZIP (postal) code, at which point it rejected my UK postcode due to it's mixture of letters and numbers so I couldn't get further.The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

This is my responce to their email,

Following your previous email i telephoned North West Airlines Saturday t check on the status of flights etc as they were showing as confirmed but no eticket number. I was told the eticket number was missing as you have witheld payment but were not aware of any reason why you should of witheld any payment.
I am also aware that many other travel agents Expedia, Orbitz,Bestflights and Zuji to name a few have infact issued and honoured the ticket prices shown and people have in fact travelled with out any issue.
As Jet abroad states on thie web site under why book with us, "You do state that all prices include all taxes and fees and what i see is what i pay" so what i saw is what i should and expect to pay you also say "You will not quote a price for a seat if that seat is unavailable" so again i could only assume that it was available and at the stated price, and had no reason to not expect the booking to go through, and so wish it to go through as was in good faith and if NWA wish to charge on check in then that is another issue.
Please again state the true surcharge cost that maybe applicable to myself for my flights as i dont understand the two sums you have indicated. And i also beleive this to ba a mass mail you have sent me and not a specific mail to me.
Again at this point i neither wish to cancel or pay extra and suggest you make the payment as was agreed at the time of booking.
Thank you and i hope for a positive responce from you, so that i can go ahead and make other necessary arrangments for my vacation.
I also note that you say Northwest supplied the ticket prices so therefore if there is an issue, then i feel you should be not be asking for any extra monies as NorthWest supplied the information and as such should honour their advertised prices.

great email! .... if expedia, zuzi etc had put the tickets "on hold" then it would be ok, but for jetabroad to be the only company to "hold" seems strange, especially after NWA saying "just awaiting payment" .... something else i noticed; on the first email from jetabroad it stated
" A series of trans-Atlantic airfares, which Northwest released in the past 24 hours, have been filed through the global reservation systems without the inclusion of a fuel surcharge"
But after reading various online forums ... is this true July i know it was a while and maybe only just got hit hard,

Bestflights are not honouring everybody i dont think ..I booked with them on friday and they still have my money pending ..Have no eticket numbers ..Have sent several emails and no reply ..And now to top it all this afternoon i emailed northwest again and they said they cant track my booking even though i can access it freely online still !! Its all just a complete mess now with everybody and its not fair ..Im getting my husband to phone bank tonight to find out about the money on hold if he can0

God, this all seems a big mess!
I didn't even know about Jetaround or whatever. I think Expedia are honouring all flights, or does anybody know any different to this?0 -

I would like to to keep my tickets on hold why you wait for further instruction from NorthWest; I am aware that many other travel agents Expedia, Bestflights and Zuji to name a few have issued and honoured the ticket prices shown and people have travelled with out any issue. I think with that in mind, jetabroad should push Northwest to honour the advertised price and keep their customers happy.

Yep i basically done the same earlier
told them i expect my tickets to be honoured by them and at thier advertised price as are other web sites.
I bought and paid for in good faith and did not know this to be a price error but thought it to be a good price by going through a non uk source.
