Oh right so there is not actually any set pattern to it all ...I find it all very strange but if you mention any of that to a supervisor they just tell you every case is different ...As i say i dont understand any of whats going on anymore ..only thing i can do is sit tights and wait i suppose0

I booked 8 days ago through expedia. No eticket numbers were issued but flight booking was confirmed until yesterday when it changed to 'not booked' on expedias website. Called them up, they said they'd look into it and they just called back to say they won't be honouring the price and I won't be flying. I'm gutted and have lost a lot of money on booked accommodation/concert tickets but there's nothing I can do.0

Well I spoke to Bestflights who are all saying different things.
One consultant was going to email them through to me straight away but I didn't receive anything so I called them up again. This consultant said that she will request that the ticketing department email the etickets to me but they won't be able to do that now because they are closed until Monday now. I said to her that I have been waiting for about a week- why is it taking so long? She said that there was probably something wrong with my email address. I then said that if I received the original confirmation email I doubt that there is anything wrong with my email address.
So in conclusion, I should receive them on Monday and if I don't they will fax it to me as there is something 'wrong' with my email address!
Keith B- Eticket numbers were appearing on nwa website for me on Friday. Have Bestflights actually emailed you your etickets yet though?

I'm slightly confused with what your problem is.
If you have the E-ticket number (the 13 digit one) then THAT is your ticket to fly.
There is no need to get an "Eticket" from Bestflights.
What EXACTLY have you got in the way of
NWA "Confirmation number"
E-Ticket number?
My details are
Expedia.com.au itinerary number: 1xxxxxxxxx
Airline ticket number(s): 012-xxxxxxxxxx, 012-xxxxxxxxxx E-ticket number Your "Ticket"
Airline ticketing date: 28-Aug-08
Northwest Airlines confirmation code: Nxxxxx
Air France confirmation code: 2xxxxx

Well the problem is that I got those eticket numbers 5 days before Bestflights even took payment from me. Their confirmation email on Friday says that they will issue etickets to me shortly but I haven't received this email.
Maybe I'm being a little paranoid but I just want an email from Bestflights with the eticket numbers to confirm everything has gone through ok! Expedia and Jetabroad customers seem to have received this.
I've got a reservation ID from Bestflights which I can enter on nwa's website and that has details of the booking, eticket numbers and all the passengers. When I click on the eticket receipt the following comes up:
I don;t understand what status means? Is only JFK-AMS the only booked leg?
Flight Origin-Destination Date Fare Basis Code Status NW 8456LHR-AMS13Jan2009 NW 8641AMS-JFK13Jan2009 NW 0054JFK-AMS18Jan2009 AvailableNW 8445AMS-LHR19Jan2009Base Fare: GBP57.00 Tax:86.80

OK that didn't work- It's all in a table and there is a status column. Next to one of the flights it says available but it's blank next to all the other flights
Flight Origin-Destination Date Status
NW 8456LHR-AMS13Jan2009
NW 8641AMS-JFK13Jan2009
NW 0054JFK-AMS18Jan2009 Available
NW 8445AMS-LHR19Jan20090 -
Hi completely lost ..I know what you mean with them as i still have no ticket numbers and feel have had the run around all week ..But supervisor told me this morning they have the clearance to issue everybody there numbers...If there is something you need to know with regards to the flight i would phone northwest reservations and see what they say ..they will be able to tell exactly whats what with the booking as you have ticket numbers ..HTH0
