Booking flights from the Uk via US/Aussie Expedia Sites

Blindman- one more thing. Do you mind having a look at your eticket receipt on nwa.
At the bottom what does it say in the status column? Do all your flights have available next to it?

That's why I wanted to get an email from Bestflights to confirm everything is booked.

Been keeping a close eye on this and got nervous about my lack of e-tickets so e-mailed Bestflights yesterday. Below is a summary of what came back:

I was just writing to enquire as to the status of the booking below as I notice that full payment has been taken for the flights but as yet, no e-tickets have been issued to me. Hi there impius i have had one of those itenary sent to me other day also ..But my problem being i have no eticket numbers on the northwest site yet ..DO you have ??...If you have numbers on the site next to your name ...I have not...I have also had money taken but nothing ..Would also be interested to what email addy you used to email them as i have sent about half a dozen this week and had no reply to any of them !!

Worried_Now, I may be reading it wrong, but from what Bestflights said to Impius, it seems that you won't necessarily get e-tickets in the normal sense.

I have just sent you a copy of your itinerary (which will come from Sabre Virtually There), which, in conjunction with your booking and payment confirmation will work as your e-ticket. Please print out a copy of each and present it upon check in to obtain a boarding pass.

You'll just need to print
a) your itinerary from Sabre Virtually There
b) your booking confirmation
c) your payment confirmation

Take all those with you to the airport when you check in, and you're sorted by the sounds of it!

(Ps, are you going to change your username when all this is sorted - or are you a born worrier? )



One question for anyone - we've got flights from Gatwick - Detroit, then Detroit to Orlando in a couple of weeks. We've got e-tickets etc and can see our booking on the NWA website....but.....all the seats have been assigned for all the legs of the journey, asides from my ticket for the outbound Detriot-Orlando, it shows 1 of the tickets as having a certain seat, but doesn't for mine, and doesn't show that there's any available for us to book - all the seats are reserved already (apart from the posh class ones, which I assume I won't get)

Am I likely to be left marooned in Detroit while my boyfriend gets the fun of Florida? :rotfl:

The fact that you have an E-ticket number is confirmation that everything is booked.

If the NWA receipt looks odd (mine says "available") then contact NWA.

Your right amy i am a worrier lol ...I have spoke to northwest and my booking is not 100% confirmed ...they say i need a processed booking which the travel agents need to do to make the booking ok ..They told me my seats are only on hold for the time being but not confirmed as such until agents issue me an eticket number which will show up on northwests site when its done ..i dont understand it all but there you go lol

Sounds simple enough to me.

If you have an E-ticket number, you are good to go.

If not then the seats are on hold.

Just called them up. They said everything is booked which is great and that I can just use the eticket receipt from their website for checking in. Looks like I'm going to New York!!! :j

I still have no e-ticket number showing beside my name on NWA website either. Not comfortable with having to print all that stuff off and show at the airport - all I can think about is getting turned away!

Might change my name to Worried Impius!
