If not for my sister and her kids I'd have given it all up - but I'm still here!!!

motivation and depression go hand in hand - that I know for sure for what I went through with Cruella. Even doing something as simple as choosing the shopping - and online at that! - can be a chore to face. I think I found the feeling of 'emptyness' the worst to deal with - however hard I tried, I just couldn't 'feel' anything - good or bad.
Please persevere with the Dr's appointment x"Stay Wonky":D

just a wee thought
would it be worth just turning up at the docs and telling them you need to be seen. if you cant be seen there and then at least you will be able to get appointment, which may just give you a boost

Ahhhhhhhh reading further along since my last post... and giving a bit of insight into me and mine... years ago... almost 13, I found out my husband of 14 years had a gf who he got pregnant... I was a complete mess... my boxer dog was my bestest ever buddy... a few months later I found out I had breast cancer and that soppy slobbery bad breathed mutt was my saviour.. he had to be walked, fed and hugged... and he got me through chemo.. yep my family and friends were fabulous but my bestest bud was a constant... I hope for you that you too have a relationship with a furry soul like the one I had with my tyson... ( yep! tyson and a boxer.. crass I know!!)
Mupet, I picked up on you being the only person in the office so unable to go to make an appointment... I know its scary when work is the thing that puts food on the table etc.. (well the wages you earn.. not work per se) but from one who recently didnt listen to her health and ended up having some major health problems, try to make YOU the priority, Any decent employer would want staff to be as damn near 100% as pos to get maximum out of them..
Use your library to get some kick ar*e books out on building yourself up after a relationship ending.. When I remember the title and author of one that I lent to a friend a while back... I'll put it on here... it was funny as well as got the message over.
Treat yourself as your own best friend, after all, you are..
Moodydonkey - welcome.... and WOW, talk about empathy... your post made me gulp... to be able to hold out the hand of friendship when you too have a head full of so much.... I'm truly humbled... your children have an excellent role model.0 -
hay baby..ooh aah-urgh i hate that song, sorry dont know why i put it on here!

Hey speshl fwend. If you see this before you read pms, read the one titled 'read this one first' first. I second everything all these people have said (even the mad ones - you know who you are),
As for counselling - pour out your troubles to a professional, or pour them out to us - a bunch of people who care very much about you and will listen and listen and try to offer something in return. I want to see you on here this afternoon young lady or (I can't believe I'm about to say this) I will walk 500 miles (I cant bloody stand the Proclaimers) to Fife and knock on all the doors and do what smashed said.

Morning mupeteer hope you're stil coping. I always found that singing really loudly and badly to McFly's I'll be ok helped me. My spirit may have been broken but not my awful taste in music haha. Hi there Gina, read the start of your post and thought you were taking the p hahahahaha but like I said to mupeteer, there's people out there that have been there and survived and i'm sure that six months from now mupeteer will be helping others and doing the 'i've got a worse heartbreak story than you have' thing lol
Sadly, you don't have any badges yet but keep trying! See what you could get........... oh boo hoo I am crying into my wine.0 -
I'm ok today. I slept from about 6 o'clock last night right through until my neighbour woke me up with her OCD door checking routine this morning. I think I needed the rest.
Tomorrow I will definitely try again to see the doc, unfortunately we don't have an evening surgery or I'd give that a go. Fingers crossed that the phone system is on my side in the morning.
I'd just like to say thank you so much to all who have posted. You lot can be a real life line.Reality check - hit rock bottom on 15 Dec 2008 with unsecured debts of £29,136 and not enough money to live on
