I'm going to be brave and try to keep a smile pasted to my face for a while. I'll leave my doom and gloom here and head over to the night owls to give my facial muscles a workout.

(((Hugs))) Muppet - sorry to hear that you are still feeling down, but it will take time to get over this relationship, and you are doing well, in spite of how you feel about how you are doing. Things will get better - hang in there, and keep posting! :grouphug:

Hi mupet, i know how you are feeling right now, i really do. I am 48 and split from partner in january, i thought that with age the hurt would be easier to cope with. Nope. Not a chance. Now i have got the T shirt on the taking a bottle of sleeping pills many many yrs ago. I did not want to die, i wanted to sleep and not wake up. But not die. Oh and i did sleep for about a week. Did nothing for my beauty though. Which was a bit of a !!!!!! really as i need beauty sleep more than most. If this site had been around then i am sure i would not have gone down that road. I still go to bed and sometimes wish i could go to sleep and never wake up. But when i feel like that i come on here. I have things going on which i cant post on the forums but thank god for here as i have met and made some lovely friends. And i am able to talk to them about things on the phone. And they keep me going. They know who they are. If you ever feel really down and you cant cope then you just pm one of us with your number and we will talk to you. Dont ever feel alone. And you may not notice it but you are making great strides in coping with things. Dont be afraid to cry honey, its natures way of helping you get rid of certain emotions. Now you hold your head up high, dignity is the one thing a man cannot take away from us. Things will get better with time, and someone very special will pop into your life when you least expect it. An they will love you for you. You are, as we all are very special unique individuals.

Now if you do anything silly in any way shape or form i will rip your arm off and hit you with the soggy end. Ok xx And ask Wol whats its like doing things with one hand. So we wont go there then eh. I have neither the time nor the inclination of coming to look for you to do that at the moment.

Thi nking of you and massive hugs

    Boo xxxxxxxxxxxx

I tried to get an appointment with my doctor this morning but no luck. I can't try tomorrow either as I'll be the only one in the office so I'll try again on Wednesday.
I made it to work today and keeping busy is helping. I reckon I'd be ok if I d didn't have to go back to the flat. Shame that isn't an option.
I've also started to look at my finances today. It's not looking good but I've got a few more things to check out. I'll keep you posted.

Hi mupeteer i'm new to all this just thought I would say hello and that my husband left me for his pregnant girlfriend I lost my job and me and our 2 girls got evicted from our house.
Things feel like the end of the world but you do get through it even tho it doesn't feel like it. I used to be a pathetic person and if I can hang on in there then there is hope for everyone. It will get better, best wishes.
Sadly, you don't have any badges yet but keep trying! See what you could get........... oh boo hoo I am crying into my wine. :D

Well done for getting into work today Hun and glad to hear you;re keeping busy.

Can you definitely get appointment for wednesday if you ring on wednesday....I know I can with my GP as long as I ring early enough. Don;t let the receptionist fob you off.

Ref: the flat......can you do anything to give it a "new you" makeover.......change around the furniture...put up some new piccies (I can send you some of the piggies if you like).....new cushions, curtains or duvet cover...??

Just remember we're here if you need a chat.

    Hugs

Moodydonkey, you hang on in there too. It sounds like you've had a really awful time.

Wol2, I've already started with the makeover. The living room has been totally rearranged. It's finding the motivation to get on with it that I'm struggling with at the moment.

I should be able to get an appointment on Wednesday but then I shoukld have been able to get one today. It's just a case of hitting redial on the phone until the line is free. Sometimes by the time you get through all the emergency appointments have gone. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed.

I was just going to suggest that about your flat. Can you revamp some rooms so it looks different - like a new start for yourself? Or just move the furniture around? Treat yourself to some new cushions or a new picture or two?
