Ok then - shoes have been in freezer all night but they still smell, not as bad, but the smell got worse as they thawed out. I then sprinkled Bicarb on, but still smelly. Now going to try spraying with Fabreeze....0

A really good spray so it can soak into the linings every bit as far as the perspiration did.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Some makes of shoes and trainers just do that. That's how I learned about how effective Febreeze is at sorting them out. I tried laundering trainers put they always curled up like Turkish slippersHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Has anyone see that bit on Ideal World when they are selling sandals, and show how much sweat comes out through the feet in one day? Think it's about 1/2 pint or so - truly disgusting! Luckily they demonstrate it with water!
Anyway, I have found wiping inner soles with essential oils such as citronella quite successful.0 -
i think the only possible thing to get rid of the smell from some of my trainers would be rentokill!0
