stinky shoes - any ideas?

i've just got 0out some shoes which i love but haven't worn for a while.... they can't be worn with socks and consequently they absolutely REEK!!! any suggestions as to how to get rid of / minimise the smell?! I'm totally paranoid that whenever i'm talking to someone they're silently thinking 'what's that awful smell'?

just used the last of my baking powder...baking! will try spraying vinegar in - worked for my mildewey footie top the other week i suppose!

Sprinkle the inside of offending footwear with bicarb of soda - leave overnight then hoover out.0

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a go. I managed to find a can of shoe freshener in our local Savers store for 49p. It actually smells quite nice, although you need to redo it every week or so.Waddle you do eh?0

I think cat litter is supposed to do the trick also.
Just make sure you hide them from the cat! ;D0 -
