  • To all those people who have tried ringing Leicester police without success, please you must ring again - I have rang and they have even rang me back and have told me they have had a few reports and they are treating it as criminal - they told me that I will have to issue a written statement which I may have to do at my local police station, he even said a policman may even come out to me. DO NOT be put off, ring again and tell them that you know other people have reported this and you have been informed by the Official Receivers that it is definately a criminal case and not a civil one.

Don't necessarily agree with that ... there are plenty of people who sell items at very low prices, ie, lost leaders on many of their items and don't go out of business. I have purchased numerous items on the internet and NEVER been scammed like this. I appreciate that companies can get into difficulties and fail their customers, but this mob ??? can only see that they are crooks from the start. AGAIN, I ask, what happened to the £500,000 of customers money, because it NEVER went to the wholesalers. I know about the house and from what I've seen, it doesn't account for the last two years trading and I agree with previous posting £21,000+ a year salary doesn't fit the apparent lifestyle going on here. All that said Tim, you have posted some very good points, which ave not gone unnoticed. Many thanks.

I too agree with you, i have never been scammed, first time. and i keep asking where the money has gone, as it certainly did not go to wholesalers. PKF are also useless, as i know they wont investigate this.
  • The only reasonthat this company was set up was so that it could eventually be liquidated, there is no doubt about that in my mind.....it was so obvious when I spoke to the moron a couple of weeks ago on the phone that he was a fraudster, and also the dodgy names he kept giving to people, like he told someone he was called John John. It is obvious that he is an asian man, so why make names up if he is at all innocent...I gave him a load of grief and then he had the cheek to say to me, 'I havent done anything thats against the law'.
By the way I rang the police up yesterday again, and they tried telling me that it was a civil matter, but I wasnt having any of it this time. I stood my ground and said that I had spoken to the Official Receivers and that they ASSURED me that this was a criminal matter. So they rang me back after speaking to one of the seniors and they took all the details, although I could sense that they werent too hopeful. They gave me a crime reference number and I told them that I would get all the other victims to ring in, so unless we all ring in, they wont do much about it. But if they have lots of calls then they will HAVE to take notice

can i have that reference number and i will ring in again too.

I think you should all also send the police a written complaint, recorded delivery, that way they cannot ignore it and maybe they have targets and will have to respond to you. Plus it gives the police a ready made folder of complaints and creditors, which makes it easier for them than taking down statements.
  • Hi again everybody! I spoke to Leicester police this morning to see what they are doing about this and they said they are investigating and will ring me next week....they advised me not to post the crime ref number on the net as it may get in the hands of FD which could cause problems with the investigation as there is a significant chance that the FD lot look into this forum. They did tell me that the reason why I would have got a crime number is because I mentioned that the Official Receivers told me that this matter is criminal, not civil. So pls pls pls ring them up and if they tell you that it is a civil matter tell them that you have spoken to the Official Recievers and that they have said that it is a most definitely a criminal matter if they have obtained your money knowing that they wont be supplying you with the good. Give them all the information you can, especially the stuff that Ripoff Victim has come up with, and they will give you a crime number. I feel a bit sh.t that I cant give the ref out but I dont want want them dodgy b.....ds getting their hands on it and trying to muck up the investigation
  • i'm also about to write to PKF now, although I dont trust them as they have previously liquidated Asifs businesses, and they cant be so daft as to not realise that they are dealing with fraudsters....but I was told by OR that it is imperative to write to them with our compliants as the police can then get access to these complaints, thats if PKF keep a record of our complaints.

Good idea, I feel more comfortable doing it this way after last time. Please can someone PM the ref number to me. I promise that I am nowt to do with FD. If you feel more comfortable then I can give you my work or private email addy and you can send me it that way. I think me letter would be stronger if I already have a link to other victims via their numbers.

    Many thanks.

I too made calls and they called me back today but, I couldn't talk at the time becaue I was in a meeting. I think they have just called me again but missed it as I was upstairs, but they will call me again, so, everyone MAKE that call. They are there to take your initial call. Will keep you posted.

Called me agin and now have crime ref nbr. Not going to post it for reasons mentioned before, however, do emindthose who haven't done so, to call. Apparently there are anumber of calls in the crime bureau system about this complaint, so if you have called and not yet received a call.. be patient, if your're impatient as I have been ... keep calling, thy know you are out there.
