Hi there, I just contacted my credit card company to commence a refund process and it'd be very useful if you could send me the email you received from UKdata, is there any means through which you could kindly send this to me? Any help is appreciated.
Hi,
This is what they sent me. Its basic (because its free).

Does anyone know Visa Debit Card Chargeback scheme is applicable when a company goes into liquidation? Should I inform my bank about this, or simply tell them that I haven't got my goods from this firm and I want my own bank to refund me under this scheme.
As far as I know there are certain conditions attached to this scheme, and it could be slow and tricky.
Cheers0 -
If you can find out the name of the bed and maybe a picture I could source it for you, although I doubt they will sell direct to the public, but I can find out who sells them in your area
Thank you. That could be really helpful. I ordered 2 beds. They are verona beds (or copies of these?) captains pine with storage, and captains pine bunk beds with guest bed and storage.
I can't insert links or images at the moment. I found the same beds at click 4 beds. It's called heartlands bed there. Thanks in advance. Is there a reason why the supplier would be in my area? I'm in the South West.0 -

It is applicable, but I don't know about the process. Good luck!0 -

As far as I know there are three reasons that get you your money back.
1 Non delivery of goods
2 Fraud
3 Liquidation
I still have not recieved my forms from bank, but before I complete them I plan to research chargeback very thoroughly;)0 -

What is chargeback?
Chargeback is a process that allows you to reverse a transaction if you are unhappy with the item received or if your credit or Visa debit card has been used fraudulently.
Chargeback is not enshrined in law like section 75, but is part of the Visa Scheme Rules, which participating banks subscribe to. It applies to all Visa debit cards, and can also be used for Visa credit card purchases where section 75 is not applicable – for goods costing less than £100 for instance. It also covers prepaid Visa cards and Visa Electron purchases.
MasterCard operates an equivalent scheme, but this only applies to MasterCard credit card payments, not to purchases made with a Maestro debit card.
When can chargeback be used?
Like section 75, chargeback can be used in cases of goods not arriving, arriving damaged, arriving not as described, or where the merchant has ceased trading.
Claims must be addressed to the bank that provides your Visa debit card or your credit card, which in turn will put in a request to the merchant’s bank. As a result, you should still get your money back from the merchant's bank, even if the merchant has ceased to trade.
Conditions and requirements of chargeback
The main requirement for compensation is evidence that there has been a breach of contract.
There is also a 120-day time limit on claims. This time limit starts from the day you are aware of a problem. In the case of tangible goods that you've purchased from a shop or online it would therefore be from the day you receive the items. In the case of something like flights, with an airline that goes out of business for example, it would be from the day the flight was due to depart.
Chargeback troubleshooting
If you have any trouble when putting in a claim to your credit or Visa debit card provider, try asking to speak to a supervisor. Chargeback is less well-known than section 75, and some bank staff may not be aware of this rule.
If your card provider rejects your chargeback claim, you can take your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service within six months of your final correspondence.0 -

Yes, I see now. I'm really trying to find out who supplied FD so that I can attempt to follow tonyp43's idea of using their supplier to find out if they had any intention of supplying my goods. I'm not trying to source them to buy them-I can't, I don't have the money.0 -
Found this last night. May help some.
To make a claim via the Visa Charge Back Scheme How does the process work?
The customer simply needs to fax us a dispute letter explaning the circumstances of this claim and also provide some supporting materials. These would include:
Proof of purchase (either a copy of his receipt or bank statement
containing the transaction)
Date of purchase/date due for delivery
Proof the company has gone into liquidation (letter from the company
or receivers)
In most cases, if a company goes into bankruptcy, a liquidating company will try to honour any outstanding service/merchandise to be given or issue a refund. The customer should obviously try this route in the first instance, as this is required by Visa before a customer can raise a dispute with his Bank.
In terms of a timeframe, this can take up to 3 months to be processed. However, we would advise the customer of this and keep them informed throughout the process.
Still heard nothing from PKF and it looks like I need that email/letter. I'm going to email again today and hound them.0 -
Have asked Morris furniture if they had informed Furnituredeals about not releasing goods to them before they took my money.
Morris also informed me that they told Furnituredeals to remove the Morris images from their web site of which they did but then brought them back on their site.
Morris are checking with their credit department and will come back to me.
Hi Tony
I have been advised by consumers direct that if you get written confirmation from Morris Furniture that they have not supplied your goods to Furniture Deal, (which in your case they haven't) then they took your money with no intention of supplying this is classed as fraud. Go to your bank and advise them that this was fraudulent and they will send you a form which you will have to sign. You will need to write a note on this bank form saying that they took your money with no intention delivering your goods and tell them that you have full written evidence of this. I used a visa maestro card for my purchase and the bank has advised me that as soon as they receive the signed form from me they will refund the money whilst the bank investigates. Consumer Direct also advised me to send a letter to the administrators advising of this fraud by recorded delivery - (I have also done this). Good luck might be a good idea for you to talk to consumers direct and the bank and hopefully they will tell you the same.0
