I've just made a double batch of pizza dough in the breadmaker.
Half is being used tonight for a pizza for DH and me and the other half will be used for a pizza for the children on Monday night.
My question is - will the dough keep safely in the fridge til Monday or should I freeze it?
Many thanks in advance.

I would say it's fine until Monday in the fridge, it will need a while to re-warm on Monday for longer than a usual prove, if you're not sure, then I would freeze it (in a greased plastic bag), again you'll need a good while for defrosting and proving on Monday. Hi, in a bit of a rush this morning, need to start the dough very soon... and no time to search for the recipe, sorry
Can anyone give me a good recipe for pizza dough please, I used one that I found on here previously that used olive oil but can't remember the quantities.
many many thanks0 -
500g strong bread flour
1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp sugar
7g dried yeast
1/2 pint tepid water
Mix the yeast & sugar into the water, beat with a whisk/fork and leave for a few mins, then add to the salt & flour.
I use this recipe all the time and it makes yummy pizza base.

Yes, you can keep it in the fridge for a week; or roll it and freeze it.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

I often make up a batch of pizza dough and then divide it in to 4. I put three in the freezer for other meals and one in the fridge for that night or the next night. Doesn't seem to have any problems. I make up the whole dough until its ready to use and then store it in plastic tubs in the fridge or freezer.
Take the frozen dough out the night before of the morning of the day you need to use it and let it defrost naturally.
With dough thats been in the fridge, I tend to take it out about an hour before I need it and let it come up to room temp - but I don't think you need to really. Then just roll it out and top.0 -
Hi SIRENS,
I usually keep it in the fridge for a day or so, if I want to keep it longer then I freeze it and lift it out of the freezer the night before I want to use it and defrost it overnight on the worktop.
