lolly5648 - Thanks for the update, which has saved me a phone call - I sent my letter on the 8th so I expect they are only now about to get around to dealing with it.
jjdevine - writing a complaint is the only way to go on this one, as on the phone they will just point to the terms of the offer rather than what was promised when phoning to open the account/request branch appointment - the telephone staff may have limited scope to deal with the issue and pay the £100 without it going through the complaints route.
As long as the outcome of my complaint is a £100 credit, I will probably keep and use my account given the Co-op's ethical stance and (otherwise) good, friendly and helpful customer service (as per Stuart_W).
UPDATE:
My original letter to request my £100 went unanswered. My official complaint letter took about 10 days to process, but the £100 was duly credited (only because I was very clear in indicating that the account was opened over the phone solely because of assurances given that the incentive would still apply).0 -

Of course, you only have to do that for 6 months at FD
Still, you've given me an idea for accounts that require lower levels of funding - I never thought of that
* edit - previously stated there were other ways to qualify, but I've just checked and while these are true for holding the 1st account, they don't qualify you for the £100 incentive. Also, you have to fund it for 6 months, not 3.
edit2 - d'oh! Those rules apply to the second (leaving) £100! See here for rulesYou've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0
