I've now been told that once everything is checked, I should have the money in my account by 8th December.

I'll see what happens on Monday.

Do you think this is just because you chased it up or because the next 'batch' are due to be paid on Monday (makes sense, kind of...)

  • Has anyone actually got their £100 yet?

I am waiting for customer services to get back to me, they say I should have opened this account in the branch rather then over the phone.

I opened it in September and have paid in £800 a month and then withdrawn it so the account activity is ok, I think this is going to be a turkey...ready for xmas!

I've rung them again today. I was told that I didn't get the targetted mailing, so that is why there is a problem.

I've asked them to locate the customer services advisor who told me that I didn't need to go to a branch and he would open it over the phone.
He phoned me at work a few days later and did the whole application over the phone, and clearly stated that I would get the bonus, if I met all the conditions.

They've located him and he is currently away from his desk. I will be getting a call later on today. I'll not hold my breath.

The list of BS excuses seems to be getting longer.

Seems the people who opened it in branch have the incentive paid and those that opened it over the phone haven't had the bonus then....?

I was always under the impression that this was a branch based incentive anyway as per the very first post in this thread.

OP did say you can apply over the phone by ringing the branch:

This offer is only available in the branches and not telephone banking although you can phone up the branch and apply over the phone.

And most of the other early posts on the thread tend to confirm this - as people applied by ringing the branch they were assured they would be included in the incentive. These calls will have been recorded.
