£100 To Open A Current Account With The Cooperative Bank

I only paid in 800 per month and taken it straight out again as soon as it landed in the account. The bonus payment was added this week (which I have now withdrawn). As far as I know there was nothing in the T&C about operating it 'properly', just that you had to put in £800 a month.

Thanks for the confirmation Suzey & KTF, that's worth knowing. I suspect they'll process payments in batches, maybe by surname or sortcode - I'll have another look in a few days.

Though I have had the £100 incentive paid, the OH hasn't as yet. I opened mine a few days before he got his up and running, both in August. His opened on the 29th August and his first £800 went into his account around the first week of September, I'm assuming the deadline for the first amount going in would have been the 29th September... But also, if that's the case his incentive wouldn't really be due until December anyway....

We will wait until December and then make enquiries I think, though he has run the account in pretty much the same way as me, and neither of us transferred standing orders or direct debits to the account...

Keep us posted LongTermLurker and I will of course do the same!

How can you work out when the £100 is due?
I opened my account at the end of August and deposited £1,000 on 1/9, 1/10 and 30/10. So far I haven't received my bonus.

i would deposit again in november if i were you. otherwise may be classed as just depositing in 2 calendar months.

Does anyone know if this incentive is still going? Is it still possible to open an account and get this deal, or has it finished now?

The incentive finished in September, you can still open the account I believe, but the £100 incentive to open and run the account ran through the summer.

I rang them up today and spoke to someone from Customer Services, to make sure that I would be getting my £100.
I asked him when it would be paid, as I was aware of people already receiving the bonus, and I had already made 4 monthly payments of £800+.

I was told that the money is dished out in stages, and accounts could be checked to see that they had been properly operated, before the payment would be made.
All payments will be made before the end of December.

He assured me that (from what activity he could see on my account) I would definitely be receiving the bonus. :T
