How long did it take to receive confirmation that you have been accepted. I applied on the 9th, sent id on the 11th and have heard nothing. I think someone said you had to pay in £800 by the 21st September, so it doesnt look like I will get it open in time.

I left application form in a branch, I had a phone call a week yesterday asking for a bit of info clarification, I was told application would be put through the system and that the "system" would either say yes or no. I was asked whether I would consider the other current account in the event that I was rejected. I answered nono.gif. not heard anything since. _pale_
• Has anybody received the £100 without having to call them first ?

Chased up my £100 today with the call centre because I was told it'd be paid within a month of account opening.

Call centre said it should actually be paid within 28 days and referred the matter to my branch.

Apparently these are branch based initiatives and so it's the branch who have responsibility for crediting the savings account with the £100.

I'll have a callback from branch, and hopefully my £100, within 48 hours. :)
Well, a month on and my £100 hasn't been paid.

I rang their Head Office marketing department recently to 'grumble' about the mis-information I was given (by 3 members of staff), and the lack of 'paperwork' detailing the offer at the time of account opening in branch.

Today, by letter, I've received...

An apology.
A promise to feedback my concerns to the relevant people.
A copy leaflet detailing the T&C's.
A promise of the £100 by 22/12/08.

...and a £xx.xx credit to my account for my 'time and trouble'. :)
• Looks like I'll have to call them to get it.

Cheers, YB.
• All the £100 posters in my local branch had been taken down. Last week it was plastered in them.

You might as well wait until 22 December - that's the only official date. Anything earlier will be a bonus and not to be expected, unfortunately.
You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...

Does said leaflet clarify anything about 'switching account' or simply states the bit about 'funding by £800 a month' ? Is it the blue A5 kinda size leaflet that was posted on this thread early on?

Yes, it's the one referenced in post #47 in this thread.

The posters in my local branch were still up yesterday, but I expect them to be taken down by Monday because the offer ends tomorrow, Saturday 20th September.
