Woohoo... just realised that I was paid my £100 incentive into my linked co-op savings account Monday just gone! I opened the account at the end of July and paid my salary into the account for Aug-Nov inclusive. I then moved this to my A&L account (who also gave me my £100 incentive this week
) before it finally reaching my primary current account! :jI didnt transfer any standing orders to it and the money was only in there for 1 day each month so I dont think you have to use it as a 'proper' account.
Although my question now is how long I have to keep this account open before I can close it now I have my incentive? Anyone still have the T&C's? Does it say anything about this??Current Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] Aug 2012

Just re-read the thread and found the image that someone had posted of the offer leaflet but it didnt say anything about the closing of the account. Did find this post though from webmasterpolo:webmasterpolo wrote: »k) Once you have the £100 if you don't want to keep the account you can stop crediting the £800 each month and you will be downgraded to a normal current account, which you can then leave to rot. Or you could write in to close it if you would like. Either way you keep the £100.

You've met the T&C's for the £100 incentive.
Once paid, they can't then debit it from your account because they clearly give you the option to stop paying in £800 per month and 'downgrade' your current account (and the linked savings account) here...

Cool, thanks for that YorkshireBoy. I thought I was being too careful but you never know... Will probably stop putting any money into the account and then close it early next year as I dont think I need another current account at the mo.Current Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... Co-Op are offering a £100 for anybody who opens there new Current Account Plus Account. This offer is only available in the branches and not telephone banking although you can phone up the branch and apply over the phone.
Just like to thank the OP for this one. My DW and me have both had our £100 turn up in the linked savings account. Big help for christmas, thanks very much.0 -

I deposited an additional £1,000 on 29/11. Still no bonus though.
Anyone else still waiting?
I am.
I opened my account in August (for bills) and have paid in:-
August £825
September £1200
October £1500
November £1600
December £1700
Plus approx £300 in the linked Savings Account
I rang them last month and they assured me I would be receiving the bonus shortly.
I saw your post and gave them another call.
I was told that there was a lot of confusion as to who was paying the bonus (the branch or Customer Services), and did I have proof to send them of the offer I was referrring to.
I explained that a Customer Service advisor phoned me at work and took all my details over the phone, without the need to visit a branch, and confirmed to me that I would be receiving the £100 bonus if the account was funded correctly.
I've now been told that once everything is checked, I should have the money in my account by 8th December.
I'll see what happens on Monday. :rolleyes:0 -
I'm still waiting also - I might give them a prod next week but the deadline isn't for a few weeks yet. You've never seen me, but I've been here all along - watching and learning...:cool:0
