It's not been possible to combine the RAF with Quidco since A&L moved to 'electronic' referrals......
  • I think that people should know that for existing customers, Alliance & Leicester has, unlike some other banks, not taken any notice of the High Court case whatsoever. They continue to charge £5 per day for an unauthorised od (no matter how small) and £25 to stop a payment. Clients of mine have been charged hefty sums on business accounts of £32 for failed cheque charges and the company is most unrepentant about it. The high charges are certainly not reflected in the quality of their telephone or branch service. If you want a decent telephone service with no high blood pressure, switch to First Direct, phones answered quickly by real people, and stuff the £100. I hope Santander shake the company up.

i recently opened the A & L Premier Direct Current Account and got the linked "Plus saver" as well. I have transfered £500 into the current acc to avoid the underfunding fee. so heres the question

instead of withdrawing the money can i simply move it into the plus saver acc and move straight back to the current acc?

is the general concensus that going through quidco is to risky as a&l may not honour the £100, has it worked for anyone going through quidco? or am i safer finding a friend who is with a&l and doing the referral?

    Don't know.
I don't think the T&Cs are at all clear on this.

When I get a chance I want to phone them up and ask. Annoying you can't email them.

My friend was with A&L for 10 years and says they are rubbish. Anyone here think they are any good?
I used Quidco and now I'm not sure I'll get my £100 so I may just cancel my account, any opinions??

It says they're "linked accounts", so it doesn't seem very likely that you could do this. Do you have another account with another bank you could transfer it to? Or, withdraw it from a cash machine and pay it back in? (Annoying I know)
You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.

Im in the process of openning this new account, though was told I couldn't have an over draft. I'm thinking this is probably because I'm in currently in my overdraft with my current bank account at HSBC.
