I phoned them up and didn't get as far as asking about cashback sites, I'm afraid.
The woman I spoke to said that to get the £100 you had to move your salary (not just fund the account by standing order), at which point I gave up. We don't want our main bank account there as there isn't a branch particularly near work or home.

That's strange as this is what the terms and conditions state:
The most we will pay into each account is £100 (only one application for each customer and one application for each joint account). We will only make the payment into the Premier Current Account. You must meet our account conditions for us to make the payment. This includes paying at least £500 into your account each month. You must pay in the first £500 within 11 weeks of opening the account, whether or not your salary or income is to be transferred using the Premier Switching Service.

When I phoned them up they only said that you have to deposit £500 into your account each month

Just heard from A&L that Abbey say my account to be transferred has no SOs or DDs. Yet another reason for leaving Abbey: they don't know what's going on. There is one SO attached to the account and two regular transfers (in place for more than a year!) which could become regular SOs.

I opened an account and went via quidco to get an extra £50 and it was tracking fine until today. Its now showing £0.00 in my quidco account. Has this happened to anyone else? I have contacted quidco about it and I am waiting for a reply. BTW before opening my account I did clear all cookies so thats not the problem

    on quidco it does say

Should track as two amounts, one at 0.00 and one at the full amount that should appear two or three months later.

dunno if this helps or not?

am looking to do this, but am with barclays and have been happy there for years and still am so would only be doing this to get the £100(possibly £150 for quidco) and the 0% overdraft for maxing out and investing for a year..........THEORETICALLY can i set up a direct debit out of a savings account i have(have no d/d or s/o out of there at the moment)for £1 to go into my barclays account - so this would meet their switching d/d criteria.......and then just set up a standing order with barclays to put £500 a month into the A&L account to meet that criteria........then set up a standing order with A&L to put £499 a month back into barclays

is this all correct or am i overlooking something?

My reading of this: You must pay in the first £500 within 11 weeks of opening the account, whether or not your salary or income is to be transferred using the Premier Switching Service.

    was
"you need to pay your salary in- but it's up to you if you get use the Premier Switching Service or you organise it yourself"- I've opted for the latter.

I've just signed up for this after being exasperated by HSBC's graudate account- first time using Quidco as well so fingers crossed. The sooner they get bought by Abbey, the sooner I'll have a branch near me to actually use...

I signed up yesterday via Quidco (hasn't tracked yet). So fingers crossed for the full £150 quid. I bank with FD and don't actually want to switch, so I gave A&L the details of my previous Halifax bank account (which I left open when I switched to FD a year ago). It has a few direct debits still set up on it which they are welcome to switch and then close it down for me! I'll just set up a SO from FD for £500 a month.

I was thinking that if you did not know anything about MSE and simply went to the A+L site via Quidco, there is nothing that I can find to suggest you could not get both cashbacks. The only suggestion you can't is from the savvy people on this site. So if you were just an ordinary (as opposed to clued-up MSE type) punter, you'd be really miffed if you didn't get the full £150!

Have I missed some small print somewhere?

But it doesn't have to be £500 original quid. You can recycle your deposits:)
ie, you can depoit £250 twice or £100 five times. In fact, you can deposit £250, then go to a cash point immediately thereafter and withdraw £250, and then go back and deposit the £250 again and you've done your duty for the month.
Also, you can use your post office counter to make deposits to A&L with no extra charge.

Will see how it goes - went through Quidco (which actually promotes the £100 offer as it is obviously being pushed to affiliates) therefore I can see no reason why you wouldn't have both (as Quidco is not an incentive as such, it is affiliate marketing where Quidco choose to give it you). Website RAF page also refers to getting RAF and the £100 offer. I can see that Quidco and RAF would cancel each other out though (same as if you went through Quidco, didn't go straight to the application, then went back later directly to A&L as their cookie c/would then overwrite the Quidco one).

Note that they ask whether you want an Overdraft and credit card near the end of the application process - I decided that as they would be doing a credit search anyway, may as well go all in and tick yes to all to see what stoozing opportunities appear (couldn't see an opportunity to get additional cashback for getting the credit card from anywhere anyway).

Make sure that you have an account with Standing Orders set up (hint - if you don't have any, add some to your savings acount!) otherwise you will fall foul of the switching account criteria. And (obvious) when they ask how much you will be crediting the accound with, the answer needs to be £500 or more ...

Personally, not switching salary (or my main account, god forbid!) as only just got them sorted from switching to Halifax for their £100 incentive ...!

I was told on the phone that if you weren't switching salary you wouldn't get the £100. Didn't want to do that for exactly (_exactly_) the same reason as you so haven't taken up the offer.
Just opened a Premier Direct current account for £50 from Topcashback and £1500 overdraft (which I hope to increase) to stooz.

It is not in the T&Cs on their website - only that you have to pay in £500 per month (but do need to use the switching service for DDs/SOs and ask to do so during the application process).
