Going against what most ppl have said, i went for this offer in August and had all my DD and payment details transferrred no problems (bit slow though), and got both the quidco £50 and £100 through exactly when promised!

Glad i went for A&L, as i needed a new current account anyway to pay all my bills from! And i got £150 for doing so :D....

I went through Topcashback for £50 but it didn't work out well. Tracked at 0.00 as expected but then it didn't update and change to £50 once the account was up and running. I have an enquiry pending...

Looks like I'm chasing the incentive now. They were due to pay it 2 days ago at the very latest. So as a disgruntled customer, I rang and complained. Mentioned that I kept my side of the bargain by crediting my account with more than £500 a month, etc, etc. And wanted to know why A&L hadn't kept their side of their bargain. Their excuse...

"We have a had a large influx of customers. And the premier account is very popular, so we're behind on the incentive paying"

Rather pathetic excuse, considering I can send an instant payment (with alliance and leicester online banking) in about 20 seconds. Pull your act together A&L!!!!
  • As it doesn't mention anywhere on either the Quidco or A&L websites, I assume it is ok, but does anyone know whether the £100 offer and the £50 Quidco are available for two people in the same household? I've signed up and been accepted, just wondering if anyone knows if my partner could also sign up through his own Quidco and would also be eligible? Thanks :)

On the A&L side of things, I don't see an issue. But I think there may be a risk of Quidco not paying out due to "suspected abuse". It's always worth a go. The worst that can happen is that Quidco won't pay out I guess.

An alternative would be for you to now refer your partner under their refer-a-friend scheme. Still the same £50 total. :)

After a lot of aggravation, I finally got my £100. So it's true. You can apply through quidco, have a friend recommend you and still receive the £100 for switching your account. Totalling a rather nice £175 :-)

Anyone still get the £100 whilst using a "Sleeper" C/Act with just say 2 small DDs?

It takes so long for A&L to pay out, it will be months before we know the situation regarding the new incentive scheme. It seems that at least one 'active' direct debit is required, so what you suggest is within the terms of the offer.
