So messaged them back this month and now they are saying I am not getting it because nothing had gone out on the direct debit (its my vodafone bill which I pay on the c card each month for cashback)0

Thanks guys - clears that up! Will transfer the smallest DD I have to my unused old bank account, and then give them that one in the change over. It's a bit of hassle but worth it if you compare the 100 pounds to interest I'm getting on other accounts....0

I thought it was a very good account and impressed with getting £100 for simply moving over to them!Current Debt Owed To Family: [STRIKE]£12,575[/STRIKE] £9,000 :wall:Estimated Debt Free... [STRIKE]Dec 2012[/STRIKE] Aug 2012

They messed up my DDs too. Took them across from my other current account but then one of them disappeared. It didn't matter as I set them up especially to meet the conditions to get the incentive, just going to my saving account, good job it wasn't to pay a bill. My rent is on an SO and that went though ok.
The thing I was most pleased about is that I got the £100 incentive on time and didn't have to chase it. I always have to chase that kind of thing usually.
I'm glad I kept my old current account up and running and didn't transfer my salary because as soon as I've got the most out of the A&L overdraft, I will be closing the account. I don't like the way they operate and think their internet banking service is rubbish! Not clear, confusing and slow to update. I'll put with a lot for £100 though!0 -
I have too last week but im asking customer services to try and honour it, fo not close the account and re-apply lolSo I see you can now get £100 if you get A+L's current account.

That's typical, considering just last week I took out this account when this offer didn't exist! (EDIT: I actually took out the Premier DIRECT current account, not the one mentioned above, so it didn't apply to me anyway).
Oh well, such is life! I even forgot to go through Quidco and get my £50! I've certainly not been on the ball!
I just thought I'd mention the offer in case anyone else may benefit from it as it doesn't seem to be in any other threads and not even in the current accounts section of the website.
EDIT: I found out further below I'm not as bad off as I thought. But please anyone feel free to use this forum to discuss this incentive and Allicance and Leicester in general! It seems to be a quick and easy £100!0 -

Going against what most ppl have said, i went for this offer in August and had all my DD and payment details transferrred no problems (bit slow though), and got both the quidco £50 and £100 through exactly when promised!
Glad i went for A&L, as i needed a new current account anyway to pay all my bills from! And i got £150 for doing so....

I too took out an A&L account some time ago when they offered "free" money for signing up.....HA HA it's not really free money it just gives you "extra" money on your overdraft allowance. You don't ACTUALLY get the money!!!!
OR is it different now???0 -

nota bene that having held an Abbey current acct will also disqualify you now they're all part of the Santander family... This has scuppered me for now.I am not a financial advisor or other expert.
