Finally converted the 'base' BB win price of $40 into a £28 bid which was accepted - £39.11 with taxes and fees. Now that I know what I'm doing, I am looking for a hotel in downtown Seattle - I'll report back later.
Looks like you hit the sweet spot for this one, well done :T
Could you post the win on BB as it helps others?
Make sure you read the guide about free rebids and "counter offers" for your next bidding attempt in Seattle.0

Just had a success on priceline, and got the Sheraton Towers in Mid Town West for £80 per night. It was actually my first bid, but from looking at previous sucesses, the most I could have shaved off it was a couple of quid, so still happy!0

Just got my first ever purchase on Priceline.com via the BB site. :T
I got the 3.5* Marriot hotel in Downtown Calgary for $65 per night. With taxes this equated to about $75 or £54 per night. I was happy with this because it compared well with other successfull bids reported on BB. Also the cheapest I could find it for on Travelsupermarket was £104 per night. I posted my success on BB.
When inputting my details I just put my own street address in followed by San Diego, California and a zip code of 92110 which was the example in the extensive notes provided here.
Now I just have to book Vancouver and Victoria This is a system account and does not represent a real person. New York (last weekend in March 09)
4* hotel in Mid Town East (MTE)
First bid of $100 rejected, added MTW and second bid of $105 (plus tax) accepted
Got Intercontinental The Barclay in MTE
 I'm happy!
Thanks to everyone who has given Priceline information. I had a look round the recommended websites and then went through Priceline.com.0

After reading Martin's guide in the NOTW, I used the priceline website to search for a 4* room in NYC, Theatre district - going through the bidding process as prescribed.
My last bid was for £80 - the response was add £16, which I did and have now secured two rooms in the 4* Hilton Times Square for £96+tax per night or $139 as the cheapest room quoted on the hotel website is $229 - I've saved at least $90 per night.
 Result!0

Had you read my guide you would have known to add £8.00 and still won
(Look at 2)Rebid\Counter offers) in the second post.
Well done on the win though and thanks for posting it here.:T0

            - Destination: Seattle (Downtown-Pike Place)
- Type of accommodation: 4*
- How many extra daily bids did you have available: 3
- How much were your 2nd/3rd etc & final bids: 1st $65, 2nd $70, 3rd $73

Total with taxes for the 3 nights: $267.65 - the average nightly rate on the hotel's website for these 3 nights is $289! I'm quite chuffed with this bargain!
