Just thought i would warn anyone thinking of going for primus deal. I have been trying to contact them for last 3 days to find out the status of the order. However everytime i have waited upto 20 minutes and havent managed to speak to anyone. i did call outside of their busy times (which they claim are between 9 and 11 in morning and 6 and 8 in evening). So my advise would be, if you want to change to primus, prepared to be patient while trying to contact them.
Just an update on Primus. I got an email last week from primus telling me my bill is ready. I went to website but there is no option to register as new customer. raised a case with them on 13th february asking for log in. I have only just received a response few minutes ago. So they have taken over one week to come back with answer to a simple query. but even then i can not log in as the system keeps asking me for changing my email and then validating the new email, even though it already has my email??????
I saw the MSE story about the poor customer service, where in the response Primus blamed weather. But this is clearly much worse than that.
a word of advise: STAY AWAY from this company.0 -
There must be a reason why the info at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/home-phone-calls differs from
http://www.skype.com/en/rates/
...MSE usually has the facts right!
I use Skype Unlimited World yet don't recognise the price in the MSE article.0 -
Got talk talk essentials package. Line rental, unlimited broadband.
Paid line rental up front for £114. Broadband half price £3.25 for 12 months.
Did this through Quidco. £70 cashback.
Add all together and divide by 12. £6.92 per month. I like a good deal.
Thought I would share deal. Quidco still offering the £70 for next 6 days FYI.
As to concerns over customer service? I have been with BT, SKY, TISCALI, and whoever it was VIRGIN bought out. They were all terrible and all have given me problems at one time or another. BT were the only ones that ever managed to apologise when getting it wrong though. So it does not matter to me, as they are all as bad as each other0 -
this is exactly the deal I have been considering for the last few days and I am going to join today0

Just a word of warning for all that may consider this deal: it is likely that the majority will not qualify for the vouchers
last time this deal was offered there was the incentive of £50 worth of high street vouchers.
The discount and voucher package was very good so I decided to move from Sky broadband + telephone. Despite having a telephone line to the property for a long time, TalkTalk have refused to send me any vouchers since apparently I needed a "new line".
I told them I already had a line, which I had been using with Sky for a couple of years, so I didn't need a new line, and besides, an engineer certainly did not fit a new line? They refused to budge. So it is likely anyone coming from sky will not be eligible for the vouchers. I am very annoyed at TalkTalk for this as their customer service and explanations as to why so far has been very poor.
Maybe someone or a Mod can shed some light on this?0 -
I am already with TalkTalk. My 12 month contract is till 4 June 2013.
Will I be eligible for for this deal starting on Thursday, 28 Feb ?0 -
It's absolutely typical, I signed up to Talk Talk on their £3.25 Essentials package yesterday and then today MSE come out with their blagged Love2Shop voucher offer!
Does anyone have any thoughts or can MSE maybe help me with getting this voucher retrospectively? All I have so far from Talk Talk is an order number and an authentication code, so I'm not quite a full blown customer yet (will be connected by 12th March apparently).
Thanks,
Luke0 -
I am not 100% sure but usually there is a 'cooling off' period.supersmithy wrote: »It's absolutely typical, I signed up to Talk Talk on their £3.25 Essentials package yesterday and then today MSE come out with their blagged Love2Shop voucher offer!

Hi
does anyone know if you can take advantage of the latest deal (1 week only!) from TalkTalk if you are already a customer but outside of contract?
Unlimited broadband & line rental equiv £7/mth. MSE Blagged. From Thurs for a week, (avail to 85% of UK) is a super hot deal on a 1 year contract...
TalkTalk Essentials package for MSE
Thanks0 -
