Good afternoon everyone,
:hello: Taplady and mrs mix - glad your ear is getting better!!
Troo - some click sites charge if you get paid via paypal, but some will either send a cheque, pay straight to your bank account or issue vouchers (normally Amazon) it all depends on the site - i do so many i get paid in all sorts of ways - the ones that pay by pay pal i will try and get paid a different way if they offer it so i dont loose out!
Ivyleaf - Thanks for the PM, glad you are feeling a bit better now, and good luck with the diabetes with DH xxx
Troll - welcome, and hope you get a new mixer soon, to save your arms!!!
Celyn ((HUGS)) can only echo what others have said!!
My mind has gone blank, so ((HUGS)) and :hello: to everyone xxx
Another work free day for me - did take DS to the doctors this morning, he has spots come up on his chest and back, they look a bit like chicken poxs, but arnt (hes already had it and they arnt spreading anywhere else) the nurse (emergency appointment, you get either a doctor or a nurse) didnt know what it was, said not to worry about it so off he went back to school. We will keep an eye on it and if it doesnt go, i will take him back.
Im all up straight with my clicks and competitions now, and ive just had my lunch before finishing my cleaning, doing the front room today but to be honest, there isnt much to do as ive been keeping on top of it (due to no LOs). Something i do need to do is sort out all the stuff in my bedroom - a huge box full of stuff wither to ebay, car boot or charity shop, but ive just not been in the mind set to do it - maybe later (but prob not!!).
Hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Hello all !
St Swithins Day today (so OH says) and the weathers lovely -well, few clouds about but not enough to worry about - so wonder if we're in for a good summer ?
Thought I'd got a nice peaceful day till 4pm when young lad comes back from seeing family.............not so.........just got all settled at the kitchen table to cover shoe boxes and get phone call from school to say he'd kicked off that much, given himself a headache and they needed him to come home. So, numerous phone calls to sort outr transport (school is 12 miles away) and in comes a glum looking lad........transpires he was very tired due to our older lad phoning him about 3am to let him in !!!!Older lad had told me last night he'd be staying at his mates and going to work straight from there ! Not so it seems and as he goes to work at half past six in the morning we'd no idea he'd even been home !!! Words will be spoken this evening !!
I gave up thinking about covering shoe boxes after all that............but managed to get a birthday card done for ex foster lad's birthday next week. Just need to sort his 'shoe box' of pressies out now.
Hope you're having a good day and hugs ((((((((((:o )))))))))) to those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

You are right - it is Saint Swithin's day!
Weather here was dull and dark this morning but has cleared up a lot.
Fingers crossed that we actually get a summer!
Washing is in he machine and nearly ready to hang outside and another two loads are in a queue.
A dozen rolls are proving ready to bake and a french loaf is in the breadmaker for tonight.
Sold a book on Amazon so need to post it this afternoon and maybe take some library books back.
DD(19) is home from uni and has decided to give her sister's bedroom another coat of paint to spruce it up a bit. Which I thought ws sweet!
Psst! Anyone wanna buy a house?;) We seem to have chosen the worst possible time to put the house up for sale. Nice to know our timing is still impeccable.
Might make homemade burgers for tea with salad and the fresh baked rolls.
DD(22) has taken some home made bread and lentil pate to work with her to have for lunch.

Well done for having registered and good luck with the "charmer" of a boss.

You are too blasted nice and competent for your own good! Go out and "demand " a chair- or borrow one! You deserve better than this and I hope that you get it.

:rotfl: Good afternoon all.
Looks like I'm even later than usual getting on here today.
I hope you're all having a good day, and those who've had illness and/or worry in their lives are doing better now.
It'll be "Sausage Inna Bun" for tea tonight (Veggie hot dogs in HM bread rolls) as Mr LW has arranged to meet up with some pals at the pub, and he won't have time to do anything else when he gets in. Also, I have to go along, as I've got to drive him and one of his mates home afterwards. Not sure how I got roped into that.....
Just been outside and harvested a few more tomatoes:T I don't have room on the patio for much, but we recently got one of those plastic mini-greenhouses from Argos, and I have my 4 tomato plants in pots in there; they seem to be doing very well. I also have some strawberry plants in it (to keep the birds off the fruit) and some herbs, and a few pots of carnations that I grew from side-shoots on cut flowers.
Oh well, I suppose I ought to go and do something useful - it's amazing how much time you can spend online, isn't it?:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
good afternoon everybody
just thought I would show you what my DH gets up to

Bah humbug!! I've received another rejection letter:mad::mad:
And my leccy bill has also arrived...not exactly good news as you'll appreciate, but it's £50 and a few pennies, so could be an awful lot worse. My meter is outside, so it's an accurate bill rather than an estimate.
Mr Postman also brought some bits and pieces I'd ordered for the wedding I'm going to later in the week - a lovely silver ring, some red beads and matching red earrings. All cheapo stuff but they look fab and will wear them again.
So far my day hasn't really got off the ground. It was piddling down earlier, but now it's windy, quite warm and rather sunny - perfect for clothes drying, so I'll go and put a load on in a minute.
Teddy my big soft kitty cat went out at about 8.30 am and hasn't been back. I worry so much about my kitties though he's the only one who is allowed out unaccompanied as he used to be a stray and is (I hope) streetwise. Doesn't stop me fretting about him when he's not in the house. He's probably having a snooze in some nice long grass somewhere.
Kaat_Lady - your OH doesn't seem too rushed off his feet, LOL.
Celyn - glad you're getting on with things. Your ex sounds like a malicious control freak (sorry to get right to the point) and you're better off without. It should go OK with your GP tomorrow - if you state your symptoms it'll be clear that you are anxious and stressed. Work place stress is v.common - trust me I know;) so GPs aren't surprised by it at all. The cause of the stress isn't something your GP can actually do anything about, so I shouldn't imagine they will dwell too much on the reasons behind it, especially since you know what is causing it.
Suppose I should go and do something, I am so not in the mood!
Bye

Hi Kaat-Lady, yes I am. I have all his books; Mr LW and I read them out loud to each other (how sad is that). I'm better at doing the voices, though.:rotfl:
