Morning everyone, :j :j
Got back from the south of France lastnight, We had a wonderful time, the weather was great, 38c temp. Lots of relaxing, eating, drinking, and visiting markets. Managed to buy some xmas pressents, and stocked up on garlic, cheeses and 3kg of Toulouse sausage, the best ever made. Even with the poor exchange rate I got some bargains, so did my Msaving over there.
DD2 is coming to see me at 8am, DD1 is coming on Thurs. They miss us when we go away. Can't wait to see them, luv them so much.
Lots of unpacking, washing, drying to do today. Must shop for F & V, am still running down the frezer so depends on what I find when I defrost something what is for dinner. Must must lable stuff I freeze !!
I have a weeks thread to catch up on so don't know what has been happening. I hope it's been a kind week for you all.
Catch you later. x0 -
Morning :hello:
Mr troo has a couple of days off. We packed a picnic yesterday but the weather looked a bit dodgy so we decided to drive to Fairford on the off-chance that we'd see some planes leaving. We were parked in a lane near the end of the runway and our timing was perfect, the Raptor flew outYou can google all the images you like, and watch it on the tele, but you don't see how fantastic it is til you watch it take off. I'm not into planes AT ALL, but I was dead impressed
OS-wise, I've done nothing in the house. Over the weekend, we finished sorting out 'our' bit of land in next door's garden and have got loads of seeds and potatoes in :T
Our garden is rewarding us for all the hard work - I'm weighing everything we pick and keeping a running total on my blog.
I meal-plan but we usually end up varying it  All plans have gone out of the window now - we just eat whatever's ripe in the garden and add something to it from the cupboard/freezer
We're off to Cotswold Wildlife Park today. They have a train ride round the park which is for kiddies really but we'll be on it
EDITED TO ADD -
I know some of you do clicks so I thought I'd let you know- I requested £6 from Archerfish but I actually received £5.60 because they don't send a paypal voucher (like Lightspeed do - you request £1 and you receive £1), they send money so you have to pay the fees  I wonder if Liberty Cash, etc. all do this?I am a coffee bean0 -

When we were in France my [STRIKE]big, ugly monster of a[/STRIKE] 'little' cat used to regularly 'acquire' baby bunnies for me!!! I'd find them hopping around under my bed, with Leo looking pleased with himself nearby!!!! They were very cute!!

Another grey one which could turn wet later.
Work today - starting to wind down at last.
Still haven't started to try and erect the shelves - I just know when I do it's going to drive me nuts - flat pack instructions being what they are!
Have a good one/hugs if needed......
PO xx
I love flat packs!! does that make me sad?:)Do more of what makes you happy:)0 -
I'm here Snowy :hello: No need for the search party just yet.
I've just been very busy and haven't been logging on. With the girls at home I feel guilty sitting on the puter for too long and at the weekend they went to their grandparents and I didn't want to neglect OH.
We had a lovely weekend together and he even took me fishing on Sunday. We didn't catch anything but it was fun trying.
I did a big shop last night and the storecupboard is building up again so it should do a few weeks. I went to 4 different shops to take advantage of their bargans and saved over £25 that way. :money: Also got lots of houmous reduced to 10p in Tesco which is in the freezer and is always handy to have.
Left over lamb, spuds and cabbage from last night will be turned into some kind of hash for tonight so there is minimal cooking today. Some washing to do and I need to clean out the laundry room and do the recycling.
The garden is looking good but some of the veg is slow to come on with the lack of sun. We've had masses of lettuce, rocket and I have herbs coming out of my ears.I think the brocolli and celery are nearly ready but I'm still waiting for the broad beans, beetroot, carrots, peas, courgette and tomatoes.
I'm freezing the strawbs as they ripen for jam and the cliff behind the house has yielded an ice cream tub full of wild raspberries so far which have also been frozen.
Sorry for the long post.
Thinking of smoky and chrisca
