    PenPin,

You are marvellous and don't ever think that you are not being a wonderful wife and mother...birthday greetings to OH

Congratulations on the job Dazi...Snowy something will come your way soon I am sure.

    Troo...love the pictures

    Celyn...good luck with your appointment.

Busygirl....have you had a look at hostels in Sydney, we were very pleased with ours in Melbourne, most now have ensuite family rooms which are much less expensive than hotels...don't forget to book through Quidco. Have a wonderful time...Perth is my starting place next time round, if I can ever afford to go again!

PippaS...stupidly enough I thought that when I bought him the ride-on mower for his birthday 3 years ago he would stop moaning...no such luck, to listen to him you would think that he was cutting 10 acres with a nail scissors!

Think that I will have to arrange some kind of trip to Scotland for next summer...we are going to a wedding in Edinburgh in January but have no desire to slide around in ice and snow, so that will be a weekend.

stefejb...don't want to upset your DD or you but heard something on the news about some papers not even corrected and results of others not delivered...might be no harm to give the school a call to-morrow

Think that its time I went to bed....

    Night all,

    Marie

Glad you are enjoying DH coming home Kathy.:D

    BIG NEWS
I made 2 Lasagne's tonight one with cheese for me and one without for DH. Why so big you may ask? I don't do (or eat) Pasta normally. Went down well anyway DH finished all his, I have half to freeze for another day.

oh well yes I did hear something to that effect .... but on newsround this morning they definitely said the results would be out today - they wouldn't lie to children ... or me would they :D
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Dazi, congratulations! It sounds like you'll be able to make that job into whatever you want rather than have to do things the way somebody else did them. Fabulous, I hope you love it!! And I know what you mean about getting things done...I'm on my fifth week:eek: of full-time job-hunting and the house is still a tip! And I have done absolutely no exercise either. However I have been using up the contents of the cupboards and finding that I really don't need to buy very much at all - which I am very pleased about.

donny-gal - I wish I knew the answers to your DS's questions!! Well, one thing that a recent interviewer said was that it'd be worth learning CAD - Computer Aided Design - as that is a skill which is short supply but growing in demand by architect offices and other design type firms. I've looked on the internet and there seem to be quite a few jobs in it around. Please don't tell me it's what he already does!!

Troo - those wee beasties are all so beautiful, especially the baby owl. It's not often you get to see a baby owl! The lemurs are gorgeous, and that big piggy thingy looked cuddly. BTW did you see on the news about the man in Wales who had adopted an abandoned lamb and raised it in his house? The baby lamb has grown up to be a strapping 22 stone ram, and it still lives in the man's house. And people think the Irish are mad!

Big news!! I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow - woo hooooooooo!! This is the first time in over a year I've set foot inside a hairdressers, so it'll be quite the surprise for my barnet. It's a mess right now - in good condition - but totally without shape. I'll get a short style, then it'll be two years before I have to go again...;)

CandyGirl...take nice long deep breaths in...and let them out nice and slowly.... Agencies really do inspire us normal logical good-mannered mortals to rapidly bang their heads against brick walls.

I've made a decision - I have been invited for an interview for a job in Belfast, but due to the rubbish £££ and it being an hour and a half journey away have decided it'd be a waste of time going for it. I would be worse off financially compared to when I was clanging the till in the supermarket, and I'd have to buy office clothes, and my car bills would go up, and I'd have even less time at home. It's a no-brainer really. Just hope I don't regret this decision. OK errr... I'll sleep on it:o and see how I feel in the morning.

Oh look at the time!! Good night everyone.
