Several times, to be honest. We find them an antidote to real life. We even identify with some of the characters - Mr LW is Ponder Stibbons, the techie wizard, and I'm Sgt Angua, the vegetarian werewolf.:rotfl:

Apologies to all who don't know what the heck I'm blathering on about, btw.

    Afternoon folks,

So sorry to hear that many are not well at the moment...hugs all round

Thanks for confirming that to-day is St Swithin's Day....hasn't rained here yet to-day....could it ever be that it won't??

Went shopping this morning for first time since MAY and only spent €71...ok, so I wasn't at home until 4th, but pleased with that all the same.

Tried some of the ginger tea I brought from Buderim and it is very strong, but ok....do wish that I had bought more crystallised ginger than I did but I really didn't mean to eat what I bought, it was an accident.

Oh has just mowed that lawns so at least he won't be able to moan that he still has to do it...for another few days.

Going to try some of the 5 minute bread in a while, had no flour earlier.

    Have a good day all

    Marie

Have you read Nanny Ogg's cookbook? It's really good reading especially for her 'good advice for young people on the threshold of the adventure that is marriage' in true Nanny Ogg fashion. It also includes a recipe for CMOT Dibbler's Sausage inna bun. I reckon I'm a bit like Lady Sybil...calm in the face of adversity and can deal with anything!;)

    Afternoon all
Another Terry Pratchett fan here too & I do have Nanny Ogg's cook book, I'll share being Nanny Ogg & Granny Weatherwax with you Elona if that's ok.

I probably could borrow a chair from one of the classrooms, but I don't have time to pick the chewing gum off one at the moment.

Hubby's rung to say that BIL has gone to collect some of his stuff, pc, fax, shredded etc & can I make room for it all, I think it's all going to be dumped on the kitchen table for now, deep joy.

I think I'll do smoked haddock for tea with new pots, peas & a poached egg on the fish, I don't have the energy to do much else.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    right todays achievements are:

    Dishwasher loaded and on
washing machine on third load - rest is hanging up drying
    dusted and hoovered
meals planned for next four days
tescos shopping for said four days plus household essentials
    no-bake chocolate biscuit cake made
redruby's zucchini bread in oven (it looks fabulous and was sooooo easy)
Dinner is marinating and ready to go in the oven when DH comes home.

I am so proud of my efforts after the last three months. I have a feeling hubbie will be very pleased too :D

now - just have to go and see if the paint in the bathroom is dry so I can get that organised and sweep the kitchen.

Apologies to those near edinburgh who can hear me singing along to radio 2 right now!!!!
