morning again,
Its beautiful here, got lots done this morning, changed dd's bed and got that on the line along with another load of darks. Cleaned bathroom and kitchen, hoovered whole house, mopped floors, emptied dw, just made fairy cakes for dd, weetabix loaf is in the oven, and a pan of stilton and brocoli soup is on the hob, might have some for lunch, although its boiling hot here  .
Also made corgette bread, when I was in the USA a couple of years back, I met a elderly Italian lady, who made me some, it was delish, anyhoo she wrote the recipe down for me, which I lost when I got home, but I found it over the weekend :T, it really is lovely, let me know if anyone wants the recipe.
Going to sit for half an hour now, then get on and do my internet shop.
Happy Birthday to Miss Stefjb, and Miss Tired Mum :T
Tatty, sorry but i don't know how to do links, but if you do a search, it will bring the recipe up, its very easy to make and smells divine, mine is due out in 5 mins.
Hugs to Jackieo today xx0 -
Hi - just taking a break from the ironing!
Happy Birthday to Miss Stef and Miss Tired Mum.
Welcome to Sammyjig - you couldn't have joined a nicer thread!
Well, sorry for all those with gloomy weather but it's lovely here today and perfect for getting the washing dry.
As is usual when DH is home, I've taken my time this morning and had a lazy breakfast and several cups of coffee which will have an effect because I've tried to cut down on the caffeine while he's been away.
Jackie0 - good to hear from you.
Well, back to the ironing, I suppose. DH has just popped to the bank and then he'll have to see what work is in the offing for him. Luckily he was earning while he was away but he also spent a lot of money on fuel having covered over 2000 miles over two weeks - still, it's still slightly cheaper in France than here so he came back with a tank full. Pity he can't siphon some of it into my car but his is diesel and mine's petrol.
Anyway, will catch up later and try and read the whole thread properly.
Have a great day, everyone.

Hi everybody :hello:
((((Hugs)))) JackieO - I'm sure your lovely girls will cheer you up.
Got a bit of a bug at the moment - I'm bunged up and really hoarseAm supposed to have a singing lesson tomorrow but have warned my singing teacher that I'll have to cancel if my voice doesn't come back by this evening
Need to do some cooking tonight. Bought some Tesco mince while it's been on offer at £3 for a kilo, so will be doing a batch of chilli, which means I need to pick up some kidney beans and coriander on the way home. I've got hardly any prepared meals left in the freezer, and as I'm not busy in the evenings for a few days, I'm making sure I do some batch cooking to keep my supplies going when I am busy. I think I might do a sausage and tomato casserole tomorrow, and a Thai green chicken curry on Wednesday.
The other thing I need to cook is a large batch of biscuits/cookies as the obligatory birthday contribution to my office (as I wasn't there on my actual birthday, and have been too busy over the weekend to sort it out). A batch of Twink's hobnobs is bound to go down well and will hardly take any time to prepare...
I also need to finish off a review tonight - was going to do it yesterday but didn't get home till late and then just fell asleep! - and tidy up the living room and kitchen, as they are in a RIGHT state. If I do not get on top of the housework this week it's not going to happen for ages...
Have a nice day and I might pop back later.
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Good morning everyone! I was MIA yesterday due to getting up later than usual, having to pander to :smileyhea DH;) ! DH got in from the ferry on Saturday at around 11pm then, two cups of good ole British tea and a long hot joint bath later:kisses2: , we ended up going to bed at around 1am . I didn't really catch up with myself all day after that!
Well, not much more to report really; sorting out DH and me and catching up.
KathyXX
Sorry Kathy couldn't resist - did wonder if you needed the loft too!
Well feeling better than yesterday, stopped visiting the small room anyway. Its cloudy here today and had a thunderstorm around lunchtime, it is little cooler only 23 - though to us it does feel rather cold!
Been basic food shopping bread/milk/cereals, not doing much the rest of the day might get x-stitch out.
((hugs)) all round
