    Morning all;)
Not going to work as still feel pretty crAp, although I did plan to.My head's still fuzzy n i'm sneezing and have a rash, but I think it could be cos of the antibiotics.I am not going to the docs to catch more germs, so will be eating flu plus tabs and echinacea today:rolleyes:
With only 8 school days to go, and me not being paid when I don't work anyway, I feel sure they will realise I am genuinely ill:(
However did manage to go and see my Dad yesterday. He was watching cricket in his wheelchair:eek:   I was so shocked to see him in it, and it took my breath away for a minute:o :o At least he got a bit of sun, and to see his old mates though :D
Got loads of very abusive phone calls from my ex last night, saying i'm excluding him from my Dads illness!!We have been seperated 3.5 years, and divorced for 18 months:eek:   He was a lot of things but I never thought he'd turn aggressive, and he's the last person my Dad would want to see right now:mad:
OS wise I have a curry on the slow cooker to eat for tea, and my butties in the fridge that were supposed to be for work;) :D
Anyway HUGGLES to all who need them today, esp CHRISCA,PAM, ANNIE, SMOKEY N HESTER xxx:D

    Morning everyone,

I did the floors this morning as well as make a carrot cake & a loaf of bread. Made up another batch of artisan bread. It's going really well. After lunch I was feeling rather fatigued :D I"m still got the flu :p and was just about to lay my head down on the pillow when DGS & XDIL arrived. They left 4 1/2 hours later so that was that.

Just about to sort out tea. I've put some boiled rice in the slow cooker for dessert. Having a pasta dish so that's not too hard. ;) I hope to cut out another dress this week when I feel like it. :D I've got to get back to the filing cabinet as well.

Hope you all have a lovely day and that the weather is a bit better. <hugs> to those poorly. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning all

Woke up at 5.30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep so I think it will be an early night for me tonight!

Have hung first load of washing out, emptied dishwasher and had a shower.

Thanks for all your continued good wishes. If coroner rings early enough I will go up to London to get my mum's death certificate but if not I will spend the day up there tomorrow and get as much done as I can while I am up there.

Anniebooklover, I'm a West Wing fan too, you have very good taste, Bradley Whitford was my fav character too ;)

Have a pile of old bills, letters etc that need filing away so I think I will do that in a mo and then make a start on the ironing. I don't want to start housework in case I end up having to go up to London so will save that for a day that I know I will be staying at home.

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning

Dull here today, so glad I got all my washing dried over the weekend :j It was lovely to get outside in the sunshine, we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed that wasn't Summer  Went to a car boot and bought loads of books - one was Jerry Springer Ringmaster, so will read that when I have finished my current chicklit book.

Work today, and have got some steak out for DH dinner. I will have pasta and try to be really good as I appear to have gained a couple of pounds over the weekend  Might have been the curry and crumble and wine

Have a great day everyone. (( hugs )) to Chrisca, hope you get everything sorted x

    Morning Chums,
and <<hugs>> to those who are feeling down or poorly. I had a good week-end with my tribe, and this morning my youngest DD (Tessa) is coming to cheer me up a bit, as it's five years since we lost her beloved Dad. I just don't know where that 5 years has gone .It was a blistering hot day then as well. We are going to have some lunch and take her little boy Mikey (named after his Granddad) to the local country park for a walk and an ice-cream .
I went and signed on for my Uni CCS course last week, and it's all systems go from September ,fingers crossed. It's called 'The Victorian Age' and I'm looking forward to it starting.I really missed my course over the last year when I was poorly ,but now hopefully I can get back on track again .I have a mammogram this Friday on the remaing boob and then an appointment to see the oncologist ,hopefully with good results on the 28th of this month .I am feeling positive about things though, and keep focussing on the future.
Well, time I got a wriggle on, I hope everyone has a good day and being Monday, you all manage to get your washing out and blowing on the line
    Take care evryone

    Morning everyone

redruby - weetabix cake is fantastic - made some for work last year everyone enjoyed it!

Over the weekend I had a scout music night which went really well - we made about £2,500 but I've been feeling it ever since!

Fiance has been making everything with courgette in - Tortilla(?), chutney etc

This morning bumper haul on the allotment for lunch - very MSE - cucumber (2nd of season), toms, lettuce, alpine strawberries and the last of my maincrop strawberries.

Got my community meeting tonight with the local police & council so I can get another youth project off the ground, got plenty of house cleaning to do - noticed my bathroom mirrors (I have five in our bathroom as they were there when we moved in) have got a good layer of dust on them and the living room is a state. I'm considering getting a cleaner because I just don't have the time anymore with everything else I have to do!

    Morning all!

Thank goodness I got the bulk of the laundry done over the weekend, as it's grey and gloomy this morning. I still need to do a washload of nappies, but I'll probably do them this evening and let them dry overnight inside. I don't fancy running outside to rescue laundry from the rain today!

Have to get some baking done today. Plan on making weetabix cake, some chocolate no-bake cookies, and banana bread.

We've got a plasterer in today, doing up the dining room fireplace along with assorted holes in the walls/ceilings from the previous owners' DIY attempts! And our dining room table and chairs from the reclamation centre are being delivered today as well! Hooray! I can't wait to actually be able to use the dining room! :j

I'm just trying to decide if I should work on stripping some wallpaper while DS is taking his nap, or wait until this weekend. If I do some each day during the week while he's sleeping, it would be ready to paint this weekend, which would be wonderful! I can easily get all the baking in this afternoon. Busy busy day!

Have a great Monday everyone! :D

    Morning all

Gorgeous sunny weather out there today.....long may it last.

Had a DCA phone this morning chasing debt which isn't mine - it's been agreed over 5 times now by E-on that it's nothing to do with me (it's actually for our old address but for the period after we'd moved out) - they just don't seem to be able to communicate with the DCA to call them off.....Luckily DH was here to take over the call as they make me so angry..waiting confirmation that E-on have sorted it - I feel it may be some wait tho

Had a love day with friends yesterday, all the food was eaten so no leftovers for tonight (seems alien to me not to have at least 1 portion for the freezer!)

House is clean and tidy and washing is all up to date - think a trip to the library and a sit in the garden is in order.

Hope you all have a great day.
