    Evening all

No-one will ever convince me that my standard remoska isn't 1 of the best kitchen appliances I have ever had:D .... I have had it over 2 months now-and in that time-I have NOT put my gas oven on once :T ... and I do think it cooks a lot of things nicer than the oven ever did ;)

Anyway -I had come onto say that as hubby is on duty today -I decided to throw a jacket in the remoska for my dinner..now I have done them twice before -as they said.. rubbed with a little oil..but I wasn't overly impressed as to me they tasted more like a wedge..so this time I washed it, stabbed it and threw it in....absolute perfection :j.....so I would deffinitely try your jackets without oil ;) crunchy skin, fluffy middle nomnomnom :D

    Hi Pawpurrs,

    I wish I could .....

I have just run downstairs and given mine a good shake and there is no rattle. It is cold at the moment but I'm pretty sure it does not rattle when hot. Next time it is in use I will try it.

I think you need to be speaking to Lakeland again ... and this time see if you can get some sort of extra something for your inconvenience. Perhaps they might let you keep the dep pan from this one if it has to be returned. Having a second pan is a great help. Cook something in one then have your pudding ready to go in the second.

You have had so much trouble they might go for this ... it is worth a try.
Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend

I agree, I've had my Remoska a few weeks now and wouldn't be without it, food tastes great, my bills should be cheaper and even my mil commented the other day about how clean my oven looked (see through glass door which I usually keep covered with a tea towel) when my remoska arrived I gave the big cooker a spring clean and the shelves are gleaming. :rotfl:

Tonight I cooked roasted red peppers stuffed with veg and cous cous and then on the rack I put a layer of foil, and made some slits in it and cooked a couple of pieces of haddock. Turned out really lovely and only one pan! Must admit since having the remoska I've been cooking more interesting meals. DH is loving it and he's usually the first to say what a load of rubbish any new kitchen gadgets are.

Well just given mine a shake, its cold and it does make a bit of a rattle if I hold it just by the handle and not the handle and pan rest. It's as if there is something moving around bit like the sound of dried rice inside. Not noticed anything during normal use. Its working fine.

    Hi Pawpurrs

Just been and given both my lids a shake-and they don't make a noise :o -so its sounds like another call to Lakeland for you ;)

ooohhh I have thought of 1 slight "bad" point of the remoska.... and thats how easy I find it to think "hmm I fancy something sweet" next thing I know Im sat on the sofa waiting for the latest batch of coconut buns, scones etc to come out of the remoska :o -please tell me its not just me :D.... I would never dream of doing it if I had to put the oven on :rotfl: ...

ohhh and for me..pasta bakes etc don't weld in the remoska -no more losing half my dinner and soaking the dish for a day to get the burnt bit off :j
