Finally is the recipebook worth buying or not?

I personally don't use mine much. I have found that I tend to just do recipes that I used to do in the oven so feel it was a slight waste of money. Think I have done 1 recipe from it, that's all.

No, I'm not terribly impressed either.

I wish I hadn't bought the recipe book, I haven't used it once. I am easily able to adapt my normal repertoire of recipes to use in the Moski.

    Thank you.
    It's as I suspected actually - I won't buy the book.

  • As others have said the roast chicken was simply gorgeous, very moist. The potatoes I wasn't too dissapointed yes they were soft, but I added lemon juice and black pepper to the chicken, and whole raked garlic cloves to the pan and they were very tasty if not crunchy. In fact it reminded me of a recipe found earlier this year I think it was Curry Queen but could be adapted for the remoska.

    Garlic Chicken

Take a large oven dish and cover the base with raw, new potatoes sliced into halves
Cover these with chicken thighs, (2 or 3 per person) lay them over and spread them out a bit
Rake a bulb of garlic, and split it into the cloves with skins on. tuck these in around the chicken pieces ( again, aim for 3 cloves per person.
Cut open a lemon into quarters, squeeze over the chicken and put the skins in the dish around the chicken too.
Pour over a glass of white wine or stock and then a bit of olive oil over the chicken, season and place in oven at 180c for about 1 and a half hours
Then add more wine ( half a glass) if desired and cook for another 20mins.
Chop some basil and sprinkle over. serve with bread and salad.

Keep an eye on it towards the end as ovens vary, but your chicken will be crispy skinned, the garlic like little squishy sweet pearls and the potatoes cooked to perfection!

    Which one do you mean?

If my Remoska doesn't arrive tomorrow I shall be very frustrated and it will be the fault of all the folk who keep posting tempting recipes/tips on here!! ;)

Do you think one could bake Christmas cake in the Remoska?
    Or Christmas pudding maybe?

Finally is the recipebook worth buying or not?

Sorry its on the main Old Style board not here

    I've been Money Tipped!
I made a yorkshire pudding for the first time in the remoska yesterday! It was brilliant, much better than my oven ones. :j

Going to try the apple cake later today!

My mum does roast potatoes the same as she does jackets by just cutting them up with the skins on and spraying a bit of FryLight or oil on them then they go more crispy. not quite the same as in the oven but still lovely.

    How dissapointing for you!
If you ring Lakeland they will dispatch a new one straight way and arrange to collect the old.
Their customer service is second to none.
Once you get a good one, you won't be dissapointed.
