Hi Frostyfreckle
It is a non stick liner which you can put in the dishwasher. Lakeland do this one http://www.lakeland.co.uk/magic-non-stick-liner/F/keyword/magic+liner/product/5570_5571 but you can get it cheaper in Home Bargains if you have one nearby or sometimes Aldi do them as well.
It is definitely worth having to save getting your new Remoska scratched.0 -
Thanks Shopndrop,
I'm in Glasgow tomorrow so will pop into Lakeland and buy a liner.0 -
thanks for the info. I have a magic liner I got in Aldi, and did originally have it in the bottom of the moska when doing the flapjacks, but it just kept moving around and the syrup was sticking to it, so I took it out. It's back in place now and not moving.
Am going to try roasting dinner today have a small chicken, do I need to put it on the rack to keep the potatos out of the juices?
I would normally par boil my potatos should I still do this?
how long do the potatoes need in the moska? - so many questions but I'm sure somebody knows the answer.
many thanks

I've come across a lovely mince pie recipe on here and was thinking of cooking them in the remoska but not sure what to cook them in. I've only got 6 individual silicone muffin moulds, I was thinking about buying a couple of silicone trays as the individual moulds are a bit fiddly. I think a 6 tray should fit in the grand. What does anyone else use? I was thinking of cooking a couple of dozen next weekend and wondering if it would be simpler to just use normal oven?0

If you put the chicken on a rack it'll keep the chicken out of the juices, but not the potatoes!0 -

That question didn't quite come out right did it? I thought that if the chicken was on the rack thing then the potatoes would also be on the rack thing as they won't fit underneath the rack and so would be out of the juices. have I got that wrong?0 -

Right, I can see what you mean now. Personally I think that roast potatoes need to be in fat to be properly roasted and I've given up trying to do them in the Remoska for that reason. I know some people seem happy with the results, but personally I'd rather eat something else rather than roast potatoes that aren't really roast, if you see what I mean. Probably worth trying both ways and then making your mind up for yourself.0 -

Which one do you mean?
If my Remoska doesn't arrive tomorrow I shall be very frustrated and it will be the fault of all the folk who keep posting tempting recipes/tips on here!!
Do you think one could bake Christmas cake in the Remoska?
Or Christmas pudding maybe?
Finally is the recipebook worth buying or not?"Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

As both of these require long, slow cooking I doubt that it would be a good idea.0
