Thanks for the comments about the pans; I'll have a look at mine. What about the uneven browning? I can always move the lid around to counteract this if it's normal, but if it's a fault I might as well sort it out straightaway.0

I've also used my Remoska lots and it's proving to be an invaluable piece of equipment. Yesterday I did a small roast with potatoes and they tasted delicious, the spuds really crispy. The other day I used up foods like corned beef, a couple of sausages, lots of different veg and the result was really tasty.
Am enjoying reading what others have made and trying different ideas.0 -
I`ve had my Remoska a week now and I absolutely love it. Have made a lovely celery soup, roasted some veg, made a casserole (or two), ........in fact I`ve only used my main cooker a couple of times. One thing I have noticed is that even when you turn it off, the food continues to cook (saving even more on the old leccie bill !! I turned my casserole off, intending to serve it, the phone rang and then 15 minutes later when I went back to it ...........was still simmering gently !! So it`s worth experimenting on just how long food continues to fook even when you turn it off !! Can someone explain why food tastes so much better made in the Remoska..............is it because it is cooked in a confined space and retains more of the flavours ?
Hi Gabriella,
Welcome to the forums (I just noticed it was your first post)
I read in the book that you should take the lid off as soon as you turn the remoska off because there is a danger of condensation settling in the lid and getting into the electrics.
Just thought I'd pass it on on case it causes anyone any probs
Today in my remoska....I am cooking some roast spuds and roast butternut squash to go with the leftover beef from Sunday lunch.Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

Both of my Remoska pans are what I would call "loose fitting" and I believe that is quite normal, however uneven browning (unless it is the very centre) is not normal!
If it is still not cooking evenly on both sides I would give Lakeland a call. I have never seen a company with such fantastic customer service!
MarionWhen life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!0 -

My Remoska was delivered this morning!!!
DH was working from home today and he actually groaned when I told him what it was!!!!
Made him and DD a huge yorkshire pudding each made in the moski and he cheered up qute a bit.
Had a cooked breakfast for a brunch for myself and it was lovely!
Dough is in the breadmaker and I want to make french sticks using the moski later and then chopped turkey, onions, peppers, mushrooms and sliced potatoes in it for tea.
That will make it five times it will have been used today- am I obsessive or just sensibly experimenting with new equipment?;)"This site is addictive!"

Lemon and Ginger cake, chocolate cake and Twinks hobnobs all turned out fine yesterday. Also had the best roast potatoes I have done in Moska so far. They were finally crispy as though they had been done in the oven. Thanks to all who have posted various ways of trying them. Success at last.
Any news on baby from zappster 1966?0 -
