zappster ...you've made me larf....!!! Thank you...!! I can't get my head around it yet either!
I'm just poncing around "looking " at my new Remoska....I have spuds, lamb chops, onions carrots here in front of me...and my OH has gone off to footie and will expect something edible when he gets back!!!:p I don't know which bits I'm supposed to bung in first or where....or when.....
I've got one of those magic liner thingies...do I leave it in there when there's liquidy stuff cooking???? Like stews? Or is it just to stop other pans scratching the big pan?
Oh Dear....anyone got a Czech Granny handy?
Just ordered a Shallow pan and a remoska cook book......all this spending to cut down on the electric bill....

Has anyone noticed a difference in their electricty bill since using the Remoska, I've been using mine 3 times a week at least for the last month so I hope I'm saving a small amount of electric?0

hi this is zappsters oh. "zappster" was sent to tescos to get "something for sunday dinner" because mum was coming over, also i wanted a sunday paper. he returned 2 hours later with a somerfield 14 inch pizza, a bottle of engine oil and no sunday paper. he was again sent back to tescos to get "something for sunday dinner", a paper, a box of wet wipes and some lucozade. he returned with a chicken thats too big for the moska, no newspaper, a bottle of window cleaner and a six pack of coca cola. He came back with a 2lb jar of Robertsons Mincemeat......and it wasn't even Christmas!
Hope you enjoy your lunch and good luck for tomorrow!

Advice Needed
My Grand arrived yesterday but the lid doesn't seem to fit really firmly on the pan and there seems to be a slight bit of movement. Is this normal or does it sound as if I've got one of the dud ones?
Also, I made the flapjack recipe this morning which worked fine but you could definitely see that one side was more brown than the other. Am I right in thinking that this shouldn't be the case either?
I've just put a chicken and a potato/onion/garlic mixture in so I'll see how that goes but I'd really like some advice as to whether I should be ringing Lakeland tomorrow. Thanks.0 -
Have a look at your pans. Mine was like that at first and it turned out the deep pan was misshapen so Lakeland replaced it for me and all is well since then.0

Oooh catching up has made me laff lots :rotfl:
Our oven has only been on three times since the remoska arrived :T
Before you send a bent pan back.............try and gently ease it back into shape by hand. My shallow pan was flat on one side and easily went back into shape using just my handsThe quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.0 -
I`ve had my Remoska a week now and I absolutely love it. Have made a lovely celery soup, roasted some veg, made a casserole (or two), ........in fact I`ve only used my main cooker a couple of times. One thing I have noticed is that even when you turn it off, the food continues to cook (saving even more on the old leccie bill !! I turned my casserole off, intending to serve it, the phone rang and then 15 minutes later when I went back to it ...........was still simmering gently !! So it`s worth experimenting on just how long food continues to fook even when you turn it off !! Can someone explain why food tastes so much better made in the Remoska..............is it because it is cooked in a confined space and retains more of the flavours ?0
