    AT LAST :j

My Standard remoska has just got here :T

I first ordered 1 about 7 weeks ago.. 3 weeks and no.1 hadn't made it, so they despatched a 2nd.. another 3 weeks that wasn't here either  ... so they despatched another on friday ..and the 2nd one has just arrived :p -so if no.3 makes it they are going to arrange for it to be collected :D

Anyway reme as he is known was out of the box, checked for damage and in the kitchen in minutes :rotfl: and now has hubbies chili ticking over in it.. I got the 1/2 pan too and now I can check if I have any shallow pans I can use with it;) failing that I will keep an eye out in teh supermarkets
So now can I join the remoska club too? :p

morganlefey....I went to Bicester on Saturday...and bought my Remoska....and loads of other stuff:rolleyes:
A VERY BAD Non MSE day, I'm afraid.
The staff are lovely, the place is oosing with stuff I just had to have....then I realised I also need a shallow pan and the cookbook when I got home, so ordered them by phone.
So, best to get one while you're there!
I've done a 1.9kg roast chicken in mine today....It fell apart.....must get something to lift stuff out...or p'raps I should have used a rack?
Anyway, good job I got all this on Sat...cos got made redundant yesterday:mad: (After nearly 13 years too.)
Oh well....plently of time to use my new toy now, eh?

Lets hope that there is something wonderful round the corner and that this is a blessing in disguise. I am a big believer in fate.

A horrible shock for you though.

Enjoy playing with your Moska whilst you have the chance to and I am sure something good will turn up for you.
Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend

Thanks all.....I'm not that worried...I've been paying for income protection insurance for 12 years...........now perhaps it's payback time!! ;) Unlikely to find a job in my field very easily, esp with the current climate....and if I do, then fine!:D

The reason i bought one was to save on energy and it certainly does that, 450 watts as opposed to 2500 watts for an electric oven I have a gas oven though. :)

That certainally sounds like a saving! Is that watts per hour or something? Just wondering how efficient it is....

Don't know if it is watts per hour but we bought an Owl energy monitor and you can certainly see the electricity usage jump up if I put the fan oven on compared to the Moska. When the Moska is in use, the elec consumption is very low but quite frightening when the oven is on. Our electricity consumption has dropped by a considerable amount as I hardly use the oven now.

    HI BSB,
You will defintiely need a Grande fr 4/5 adults, the standard would be far too small

Finally rang Lakeland today about the uneven cooking of my Grand.
They are sending a replacement tomorrow so fingers crossed this one is fine!
