excuse you? i dont work for 3!0 -
I have just had my letter from otelo stating that I cannot cancel my contract. It states the reason as being --
"commercial decisions made by member companies about whether to provide a product or service, and the terms under which they may be provided"
What the heck does that mean??
and ends with "you are free to follow other routes to try and sort out the problem"
At least it was worth a try. I have learned my lesson and will never have a 3 contract again after this one is finished.0 -

Do you think that it will be the case for everyone whose case has been taken on?0 -

I phoned otelo and they are now saying that they are not allowed to look into contract issues and that I should contact ofcom. I called ofcom and told them and they said that all they can do is log my complaint, but not look into it, as all companies are allowed to change terms and conditions of contracts as long as they are not 10% detrimental to you. I explained that I would be worse off but he would not listen. What do I do now?0

it means your 30 days from the date of the letter to cancel are up0 -
The biggest problem in this thread is there are too many people pretending to have cancelled their contract.
The genuine people who have followed the escaltion route via OTELO, 3's exec office, Customer Services, OFCOM, blah, blah, blah, are bemused as to why they can't cancel their contract when some people are saying they have did it simply over the phone or via OTELO, etc.
I don't think anyone has cancelled their contract successfully. The people who attempt to do it just keep getting knocked back - it is only the fantasists who seem to have cancelled (or they were at the end of their contract term anyway).
Read back a couple of pages - look at the confusion, delusion, etc.
Mental!!:eek:0 -
I took it to mean that otelo cant influence business decisions by mobile companies ie if three want to charge per minute round ups they are entitled to, however what we are all contesting is the fact that we have the right to cancel as per the T&Cs and three arent allowing this,
I think otelo are looking at the wrong part of your complaint, your issue (i presume) is not the fact that three have made the change but that they arent allowing us to cancel becuase of it, and have failed to inform of this change correctly,
if you have the mental energy it may be worth re-explaing this
