Orange Dolphin NOTW £10 offer

  • I've just taken this offer up too - I phoned the 0800 number from the earlier post and it only took 2 mins to set up with a very helpful advisor at the other end! This will suit me fine as I mainly text but make the odd call and though I've been on PAYG for many years I'm finding I'm spending more and more each month.

I had £30 left on my orange pay as you go and they said that'll be transferred and pay my first 3 months' bills which is useful.

It's going up to £15 I think tomorrow (offer ends 31st July) - I saw it in the Daily Star yesterday. For details go on www.orange.co.uk/star then select sim only offers on the left hand menu bar and Dolphin 10 comes up.

ps. picture texts aren't included and cost 25p each to send (free to receive obviously). You can monitor your usage free either by calling 150 and selecting option 1 or checking on your account online.

pps. if you're like me and wholly untechnical you'll need to save all the numbers on your current sim card onto your phone memory so they're there when you get the Dolphin 10 sim and put it in your phone!
  • Something like £30 cashback was available for this sim deal on Quidco, and an even higher £50 is definitely still showing on CashbackKings, I've just checked!

So use one of these cashback sites to grab yourselves an even better bargain; remember though to be quick if it's supposed to be ending tomorrow, and, if you've checked on the Orange website already, remember to clear your cookies before going through the proper cashback link!!

ordered mine yesterday tro web site and using cashback sites as well, recived both sims this morning, very quick :-)
  • Anyone help? I'm trying to help someone out by getting them a cheap SIM with free offpeak landline calls.

I want to port a number onto the Racoon 10 deal. However, I want to take advantage of the £50 cashback.

On the Orange website it states you can port onto this deal - fill out the box asking for your PAC during the payment process - however, there isn't a box to to fill out.

I presume by ringing at a later date after receiving the SIM and requesting a port then this would invalidate any cashback?

Could I wait as long as two months (when cashback will have validated) before porting number?

Yes, you should have received an email like this..
    when your SIM Card arrives

Your phone will arrive connected to our network, but there will be a bar on the account. To remove the bar you will need to log on to http://www.orange.co.uk/activate or call 980 from the phone or 07973 100 980 from a UK landline. You will need to tell us your SIM card number, which you will find printed on the side of the box, and the password which you gave us when you placed your order.

It's there where you can input your PAC. It can take up to 48 hours though.

yes i saw that there was no box to fill out to use pac code,
but when i recived sim card i rang up to activate sim and asked to tranfer my number using pac code, Monday is the date i was giving when it will be tranfered, dont know if it will invalidate my cashback? but as i bought on line i dont see how.
but anyway still a good deal for £10 a month :-)

Do you have to pay by DD?

Or can I pay monthly via credit card?

    Seems like a cracking deal

Thanks very much for that - went through the website link and everything appears to have worked.

dd if you want it to be £10 p/m.

    non dd fee is 3.50.

As for porting in, the current rules are any time within first 12 months of being with us. hope this helps.

[heh, anyone want to call my extention and give me a few sales? ;) (just joking!)]
