    afternnon all

so so sorry for your loss Chrisca

I posted this morning but it seems to have got eaten - anyhoo the upshot of my entertaining and thoughtful missive this morning was that I have shingles and am feeling very sorry for myself. the first symptoms I mistook for a post camping trip insect bite so left it too late to see the dr for anti-virals. I have therefore celebrated the first sans dd day for yonks by hiding under the poorly quilt living on tea and piriton. I scoffed my proposed dinner, sausage and mash leftovers, for lunch - well a girl's got to keep her strength up - so will have to have a rootle around the freezer for something restorative for dinner - might just ahave a lrge baileys instead

    have a good evening

Stef - shingles is horrid. I hope you start feeling better soon.(((Hugs))) to you.

Candygirl - it must be awful not being able to see your Dad today but you are doing the right thing. Let's hope the doctor can find out what's making you unwell.

Well, in honour of DH's return, I have just painted my nails and now it's difficult to type! The house is all nice and tidy and I've just been sat knitting, dozing and coming on here this afternoon. Can't believe it's now a week since I was in Devon getting ready in a girly way for a hen night out! The whole week has simply shot by.

We haven't had any rain today so my washing got nice and dry; I have a small pile of ironing but that will become a mountain once I've done all DH's washing tomorrow.

I bought the Daily Mail today with its free copy of Pride and Prejudice with the delicious Colin Firth; my very own copy for me to keep for ever and ever! I'm sure it will be well-watched!

Anyway, I'm off to see if there's anything on the box while I'm waiting for DH to get back.

    See you all later.

    Good evening everyone,

Troo - how are the guinea pigs??

stef - hope you are feeling better soon, look after yourself, my best friend has shingles and was in hospital all last weekend, so take care xx

KAAT - i have 3 cauli plants ive saved from the slugs, and one has just started growing a proper cauli, ive been so excited (sad i know!!)

Shez - thought of you earlier, one of the comps i entered sent me a brocher (sp?)full of lawn mowers and tractors!! Will find out end of August if i did win the tractor!!!

AnnieBL - where are you going on holiday?

whatawhit - i agree, my daughter has very good judgement not wanting to stay with her dad!!! He couldnt even ring last Sunday to wish her a good time or anything!

PP - hope DH is feeling better soon, and good luck for your hospital visit xx

Candygirl - hope you are feeling better soon too as well, and you get to go and visit your dad on Monday xx

Im sure ive missed someone out, so apologise if i have, its not intentional!!!

Not done much at all today (some if your lists have made me feel very lazy!!) but did make rolls this morning, hung some washing out and did a little bit of gardening. Also had to de nit DD and i did myself (to be on the safe side as DD slept in my bed last night) as she brought home not only loads of dirty washing, but a headfull of nits. Sorry if everyone is itching now!!

Right, going to pick in the washing, we have been lucky, the weather all week has been dreadful but it has stayed dry today, so all my washing should be dry now.

Nothing on the telly, so not sure what we will watch - never mind. Hope everyone has a lovely evening.
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
