Hi all - just popping in while I have a quick cuppa. I've given the house a good clean and changed the sheets which are on the line. The sun has disappeared and I'm finding it really cold but I can't bring myself to put the heating on in July!
Elona - I have been following Weezl's thread but not tried anything yet; that pate sounds lovely, I will definitely give it a go. I'm going to look at her last thread, too - I seem to have missed that one.
Scuzz - I'm glad you are feeling better. Hope your situation improves. I've been doing more surveys lately - some of them I haven't bothered with for a few months which is silly because it's all extra bits of money, isn't it? You just have to weed out the lowest payers!
Katiesmummy - congratulations on your stepbrother's good news!
PenPin - (((hugs))) to your DH - I do hope he feels better soon. (((Hugs))) to you, too.
Candygirl - I do think you should see the doctor, especially as you have a rash.
Well, DH should be halfway back up through France on his way to the ferry by now; his boat leaves at 5pm French time from Caen. I hope I don't doze off while waiting for him to turn up at 10.30!
Well, I'm going to put a cardi on, I think - I'm so cold today. Whatever happened to our summer?
See you all later.

Ok back again. Eating tuna and sweetcorn sandwich I have just made yum yum.
I have now power washed the greenhouse, but it took 10 mins to get going as the hose pipe sprung a leak! ended up having to cut about 2 foot off it and re connecting it.
Then went along the edge of the patio and power washed that.
Put power washer etc away.
Washing off line and now folded, ready for ironing tomorrow.
Just noticed that the road has been invaded by what looks like 5 year old to 9 year old pirates.........the kids next door are having a birthday party!!!!

Hiya Again!
I have managed to get most the food etc together for our holiday away next weekend. All non-perishable done, t-towels, soap powder, cleaning stuff etc. Have even done a mealplan...lol. There is a Waitrose nearby and have saved some vouchers up so shouldnt be too much. Will get some treats though and OH has put in some bottles of Sol, 2 Bitters for Dad and 2 bottles of wine. I am really looking forward to getting away and hoping to talk with Mum which is going to be difficult, but I know its time I need too.
Put the pies in for dinner...we are having Steak Pies, New Pots, Corn on the cob and carrots from the garden:j :j :j ....have also pulled out the freezer a Lemon Meringue that needed using up.
OH still feeling rough and he said "thanks" for all the lovely comments.
DD is going to sort her wardrobe out in abit after dinner as she has so many clothes that she doesnt wear or doesnt fit into anymore.
Put 40 DVD's on Ebay the other day...there new listing thing is so easy to do with Books and films. Just about to put a steamer and a rice cooker (not even used)on Freecycle.
I also have a copy of The Tightwad Gazzette if anyone wants it. PM me and I will get OH to post on Monday.
Anyway, just about to have dinner and need to test my sugar and INR levels before I eat...joys:eek: Might have to go into hospital tomorrow evening to get my treatment started early on Monday as I want to be well for travelling Friday and those few hrs should make all the difference.
Hugs to all

Afternoon all,
Chrisca...hugs to you, know what its like to lose your mother to cancer...we are all here if you need us.
Kazwookie...you exhaust me just reading what you've done today....I haven't done that much all year!!
Just had very nice grilled haddock, peas, beans and spinach from garden with new potatoes...was lovely.
Snowy....went to Naas this morning and heard only Northern accents so if you need any of your neighbours....they are all at Oxegen and none of the supermarkets here have any booze left!
Sun has come out so I might do something strenuous such as dead-heading for a while.
Hugs to all in need or want and congratulations to all who are celebrating.

Here I am Churchie:hello: Hello everyone!
No, I havent gone away yet, got another week yet! I did ask DH to get the case down so I could start packing a few bits - but I got the "Why do women do that so early" saga!:p :rotfl: It's alright for them, they don't have 101 other things to remember to do before they go away do they??!! I'm certainly not as organised as Penny-Pincher!:T
Agree, what a funny day today, one minute its cold (I put a wooly on!), then the sun out and its hot, then its rained and now its back to sun again!
I've been busy doing the end of term trip on Wednesday to Old MacDonalds Farm (in the pouring rain!), we just ended up sitting in the indoor play area till it was time to come back to school:rolleyes: Thursday was parents evening, and friday I went to the cemetary, as it was 24 yrs ago my dad died and last nite I got caught up on friendsreunited - You suddenly find yourself looking up everyone/thing from the year dot!:rotfl:
Today, ive been cutting back and tidying up in the garden. Went to Asda to get some white polo shirts for school uniforms as they have 5 pack for £4.75!
DS1 took DS2 to see Kung Fu Panda this arvo, they said it was good!
Catowen - Glad your DD enjoyed her time away!! sounds like it did her the world of good!
