Looking for some advice i have an Ikea bed and am after a mattress for it. But i have only seen the size in either Ikea or on Ebay.
Has anyone bought a decent mattress for their Ikea bed?
What really like a memory one.0 -

Ikea beds are continental sizes. Many UK bed manufacturers will make continental sizes. The best thing to do is to find an independent seller who has a good relationship with an independent manufacturer, otherwise you could get stung on the price.0 -

You would get more for your money with an independent manufacturer.0 -

Myers are a good brand, but like many other large brands they seem to have dropped their quality a bit over the last few years.0 -

Hello Tim
In a previous post you mention people being victim of the non turn mattress gimmick, but like you said this particular one is specifically a non turn. I understand these mattresses are very heavy and so only having to turn it lengthways surely can only be seen as a bonus especially for older people.
Have you had any bad experiences with these mattresses yourself.
I know you have said these are well made and much better than the Tempur brand.0 -
I think what Tim has said in previous posts are that non-turn (even specific non-turn) mattresses are usually made that way to cut costs. There are obviously less materials used in non-turn mattresses, and by design they will not last as long as you cannot make use of both sides of the mattress! Not sure from your post which one you are talking about 'better than the Tempur brand', but surely any non-turn is essentially not as good as ones manufactured for use on both sides?!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Cheers TiTheRev.
Sorry, the Healthbeds brand. I have been turned off a bit after another poster had a major problem with theirs. The 10 year test Which? did seem to do very well though.0
