Hi Tim,
Started reading this thread from page 1 and got to page 16, but then saw that there were 158 or more pages so decided I would just post and ask about the mattress I am considering buying.
It's the Kozeesleep Ortho pocket 1500 mattress. From what I've read Kozeesleep as a brand aren't too bad, the number of springs is within your recommendation, however it doesn't appear to say whether you turn it or not, which I definitely do want to be able to. Other mattresses on their site which are non-turn they seem to quote that, so I want to assume that you do turn this one. The info they give on the mattress is...
The Kozeesleep Ortho Pocket 1500 Mattress has 1500 individually pocketed springs and extra firm insulator pads that lay on top of the springs to prevent the mattress sinking into the coils, ensuring you get maximum comfort and support for your body.
The extra firm insulator pads combined with pure lambswool, quality cotton and polyester fillings add luxury and give an extra firm sleep system. The Italian damask cover is hand sewn to give that final touch of quality to this luxurious ortho mattress.
Kingsize: W 150cm x L 200cm
Italian damask cover
Firm support
Firmness - Firm
Type - Pocket Sprung
Pocket Sprung Type - Single Tier
Material - Damask
Features - Luxury Fillings
I've found it for £405 including delivery. Does this sound like a good price to you, and a good mattress?
Things that we like in a mattress are for it to be firm, my husband gets very hot in bed so needs to stay cool, our bedframe has horizontal wooden slats which i would describe as 'springy'. So they are curved when the mattress isn't sat on it, if that makes sense?
Really appreciate all the advice you've posted on this thread, and any personal advice you can give me.
Thanks!0 -

Yes it is a turnable mattress. As a general rule it should say if a mattress is non turn.
How far apart are the sprung slats on your bed?0 -
hi - was just coming on to edit my post to let you know about that - you are a speedy poster!
The space between our slats is 1".0 -

It's a good price as long as it is the Dewsbury Kozeesleep, and not the Birmingham one.0 -

I looked at that one earlier for someone else, and to be honest I would be very very suspicous. Manufacturers can't even make a good quality pocket sprung and memory foam divan set for that price. I would suspect that they are either bankrupt stock or seconds. Which is ok as long as nothing goes wrong with it. I couldn't comment on the quality unless you can get the make and model. It would also be worth finding out what the density of the memory foam is.0 -

No, they are saying that it is the equivalent to the Byron. To be honest it isn't a good advert being compared to any SN mattress. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.0
